I enjoy making baked goods from scratch. I also make my own pancake and waffle mix, as well as my own chocolate milk powder. This pure vanilla bean powder is great, because I am not paying for anything but pure, non-GMO vanilla bean powder. There's no alcohol or glycerine added, and the vanilla is finely ground, so it incorporates easily with other powders and has a more rich flavor than liquid vanilla extracts. It will keep in my cupboard for a long time, and it's easy to make my own mixes to take on camping trips and whatnot.This is not cheap, so be prepared to shell out a fair amount of cash for the powder. A little goes a long way, though, so it lasts a while. I'd love it if this came in an airtight glass jar, but the resealable packet is sturdy and stands up in my kitchen cabinet.

The package was a little smaller than I imagined but the powder is so strong! The comparison ratio of vanilla powder to vanilla extract is 1/2. For 1 tea spoon of vanilla extract you’ll only need 1/2 a tea spoon of this vanilla powder and a little goes a long way. Add just a dash to your coffee or desserts that extra vanilla powder elevates the taste so much! It’s definitely worth the buy!

I bought this for a coffee mixture and was disappointed in the dustiness of the consistency and it’s not near sweet enough for me. I was hoping it would be sweeter as to not have to add sugar, but that is not the case. I could probably add more of the powder to get my desired sweetness, but it’s just not cost-effective like that
