I like the price and quality I use on my wood projects they cut clean and fast

While visiting family, somebody brought me a birch log and asked, "Can we put holes in this for candles?" Naturally, my deepest desires to somehow run a woodshop someday worked into my mind at that moment. "I have to prove myself!" After some meticulous measuring, I determined that my existing set of Forstners would not pass muster. I needed to go big or go home. And it was the holidays, so I was already home.In walks Amazon to the rescue. This three pack was enough to cover the range of possible widths to fit the candle base. I ended up using all three bits at some point. I tested them out on a variety of different targets before I set forth to certain ruination of my mother's beloved 15 year old bone dry birch log. One thing I was assured of: any log destruction was going to be user error. These bits are sharp and true. They stayed secure in the chuck of the drill as it flailed miserably in my novice hands.After even more meticulous measuring, and with what minimal math scrawl I could translate off the cave walls of the back of my brain that hasn't been accessed since high school, I went in. With the log wedged firmly between my feet (yes, I WAS wearing sandals!) and a drill in hand (no, Forstner bits are NOT meant to be used with a handheld drill!) I produced four [mostly] clean holes at completely nonuniform depths. The task was complete and the log no[t much] worse for the wear. Success! A $20 gift for myself, and a priceless gift for mom. In other words: these bits are well worth it.PS: Wear your PPE, blah blah blah, use Forstner bits with a drill press etc etc etc.

These fostner bit are well made. They cut through hard woods with ease.

I am using for my lathe work, to get a start in clearing the wood in a vase.

Have not cut with them but they measure accurately to what size they are supposed to be.
