What substance is in the tube? Is it silicone?

This is not a silicone grease, it is a sanitary lube, it will not dry or gum on equipment, is highly resistant to separation or bleed and is a time saver because it cleans off of equipment easily. This lubricant will provide a protective coating to all metal parts. A thin film will retain effectiveness on bearings, slides, and other lubricated surfaces despite moisture. By staying on the work area, corrosion of metal is minimized. This sanitary lubricant is highly resistant to separation or bleed. It will not dry or gum on your equipment.
