Nutricost Fisetin Capsules 100mg, 60 Caps, Natural Polyphenol Antioxidant

I take a battery of supplements and have added this one. I can't prove if it is doing anything extra, but I believe it’s helping. It’s inexpensive and taken with tumeric and milk thistle is hopefully keeping things moving.

Flavor is irrelevant. These are gel caps. Price is lowest around from a recognized brand.

The Nutricost brand has been around for awhile and has a good reputation so I was comfortable in trying these out. I've been taking fisetin for a few months now (not only this brand) and I can definitely feel a difference. Fisetin is like quercitin's bigger and stronger brother. While you're going about your daily business and your body is doing its thing of cycling non-functioning cells out and creating new ones, sometimes the non-functioning cells don't leave and they have a tendency to create havoc by creating inflammation. These cells that just hang out making trouble are referred to as senescent cells (sometimes known as zombie cells). Fisetin is supposed to be able to hunt down senescent cells and flush them from your system. This removal of the senescent cells is supposed to be great for controlling age-related conditions - many of them caused by inflammation. There are different ways to take fisetin, so do a little research and see which way is best for what you are trying to accomplish.

It's my second purchase - easy to swallow and a great antioxidant for my health.

There has been a lot of research recently into the neuroprotective and anti-cancer properties of this supplement and so I was excited to start incorporating this into my diet. The pills are large cellulose capsules filled with whitish powder and they don't have any discernable flavor. I don't have difficulty swallowing them. In the past I have used other supplements from Nutricost and have been happy with their quality and price. I think they tend to be more reasonably priced than other brands. One thing to note is that Fisetin is better absorbed when taken with fat, so many manufacturers will include fats in their formulation. This particular formulation does not include fat so you will want to take it with some healthy fat. I take this supplement in the morning with my eggs. Each pill contains 100mg of Fisetin. According to research 100-500mg is the typical dose for healthy adults.

Sorry to say, this one is not fisetin with acceptable purity. A lot of fillers noted when ingredients mixed with waters. I have been using other Fisetin product and this does not produce the desired effect at all.
