Has anyone else found it really difficult to open?

Yes, haha! I used to have to get a knife to prise the seal off! But I think it's been improved now. The seal is perforated now, so twist the whole top until the seal separates, then keep twisting and pull upwards and it comes off.

I have sweaty balls (sorry) , will this help?

Yes, don't use to much down there. A light dusting around the area, no more Betty Swollocks!

Can you use this for itchy jeans? Does it have to be direct skin application?

Sorry not sure, I bought it primarily for a severe case of 'ring sting' and must say it really came up 'trumps' - excuse the pun.
