IF HE CAN'T HAVE HER, NO ONE ELSE CAN Kade Mitchell is obsessed with someone he despises. A snake in an angel’s skin, Stacey Rhodes is everything he can’t forget – the girl who shattered his heart and drove him deep into the darkness of the underworld. He watched her for years. Killed anyone who came close to her. But now, granted a brief moment of freedom from the life he’s trapped in, he’s back home and driven to claim her again, breaking every rule he’s ever made for himself. Not even his hatred can stop the pull between them. But he’ll never forgive her… will he? As this is a dark romance , the author highly recommends reading the 'content warning' page. Review: Absolutely unhinged, emotional, and impossible to put down. I devoured it in one day. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ EASY 5 STARS When I say I want emotional damage, this is what I mean- I genuinely don’t even know where to start with this book because WTF just happened 😭 I read this in ONE DAY. I could not put it down. And even now thinking about everything that happened makes me feel slightly sick 😂 This book was so dark and so messed up but also SO emotional and unlike anything I’ve read before. Kade and Stacey absolutely broke my heart. I loved getting their relationship in the past and present because you’re watching them fall in love while also knowing how completely destroyed everything becomes and it HURTS. Every time we went back to the past and got another little piece of them together I just wanted MORE. And Kade 😭 I was not prepared for how much I was going to love him. Yes, he is completely psychotic, obsessive and possessive 😂 but there is SO much more to him. Learning about his past and watching him actually try to understand himself and his emotions because he wanted to be better for Stacey🥺. He completely broke my heart. And then Stacey, I just wanted to hug her. I loved how much she accepted Kade for exactly who he was and how deeply these two loved each other even when everything between them was completely messed up. Also the spice??? 🥵 This is definitely DARK dark romance, please check the trigger warnings because there are some really heavy scenes and topics in this one. But I think what surprised me the most was how much emotion there was underneath all of the darkness. I expected unhinged and spicy. I did NOT expect these characters to completely rip my heart out. I’m still sitting here like… what the actual f just happened?! 😂😭 Easy 5 stars for me. Completely insane. Completely messed up. Completely addicting. And now obviously I need to immediately emotionally destroy myself with book two. Review: Full-cast perfection. Total emotional chaos. Utterly addictive. - This isn't your surface-level romance. Insatiable is intense, emotionally complex, and utterly addictive. It's messy, passionate, and so deeply human. The characters are flawed, magnetic, and make the kind of decisions that have you screaming “Nooooo!” while also hitting play on the next chapter because you have to know. Leigh Rivers knows how to write tension. That push and pull? The emotional tug-of-war between wanting and needing, between guilt and desire? It's exquisite torture and when the narrators bring that tension to life, it's goosebumps-inducing. HOLY. OBSESSION. This audiobook owns me. It's not just a story. It's a full-on emotional, sensual, can't-breathe, can't-stop-listening experience. And with this cast? It's next level. It's cinematic. It's INSANE. This book isn't light. It's messy, obsessive, soul-wrecking romance at its finest. It dives deep into emotional and physical hunger. The kind that consumes. The story grips you with its tension, its complications, its desire and this cast? They don't just read it… they live in it. They deliver every single word like it's laced with fire, heartbreak, and want. This book? It's messy. It's forbidden. It's chaotic. And you will be clutching your chest and fanning yourself within minutes. This is the kind of audiobook that haunts you when it's over. You'll be replaying your favorite chapters like your life depends on it. Insatiable will wreck you in the best way possible. Prepare to be utterly ruined and love every second of it.

Wow! A Perfect Dark Romance!
I am utterly speechless. Insatiable by Leigh Rivers is hands-down one of the most intense, gripping, and deeply emotional dark romances I have ever read. Leigh Rivers doesn't just write a story; she drags you kicking and screaming into the underworld, and you will love every single second of it. The toxic, all-consuming dynamic between Kade Mitchell and Stacey Rhodes is top-tier. Kade is the ultimate unhinged, possessive, and morally gray antihero. His "if I can't have her, no one else can" energy is terrifyingly brilliant, and the agonizing push-and-pull between his deep-seated hatred and undeniable obsession with Stacey kept my heart in my throat the entire time. Stacey is such a complex, beautifully broken, yet resilient protagonist. The heavy trauma, secrets, and history between these two run so deep, making the slow-burn tension and explosive 4/5 spice level hit infinitely harder. Every single interaction is laced with raw anger, deep resentment, and an undeniable attraction that feels completely earned. Please check the content and trigger warnings before diving in, because Rivers handles a very real, gritty darkness without holding back. The psychological depth of the characters, combined with the jaw-dropping plot twists, completely consumed me. That ending left me absolutely desperate! I am immediately running to buy the next book in The Edge of Darkness Trilogy. If you love an obsessive, second-chance dark romance that will break your heart and glue it back together, you need to read this book right now!

Dark, Toxic, and Completely Addictive
Insatiable was sexy, toxic, emotionally charged, and completely consuming. The story unfolds with the intensity of an action movie, packed with crime, power plays, trauma, dirty secrets, and a dangerous underworld that feels like it’s only beginning to reveal itself. At the center is a volatile story of obsessive, seemingly unrequited love, where hatred and desire are so deeply intertwined that separating the two feels almost impossible. Kade and Stacey’s dynamic is dark, destructive, and intensely magnetic, creating the kind of tension that kept me turning the pages even when I knew there was nothing healthy about their relationship. This was an adrenaline fueled introduction to a dangerous and complicated world, and by the end, I was completely invested in uncovering everything still hiding beneath the surface. Perfect for readers who enjoy deeply flawed characters, extreme obsession, toxic romance, criminal underworlds, and love stories that fully embrace their darker side.

intrigued
I was intrigued by Kade and Stacey’s story. I finished this book in 2 days. Kade is unhinged in the best kind of way. Stacey started to get on my nerves just a tad bit but I held on until the end. I will start the next story but not sure if I will finish the series. There was a lot of spice. Like every other page. That would be the only thing that didn’t make this a five star read for me because I craving more of their story and not every sexual encounter between them. Overall a good story, kind of predictable but it does end making you want more. Lots of questions still not answered

drama, heat and emotional punches
I totally immersed myself in Insatiable — both in audio and on Kindle — and let me tell you, I was not fully prepared for the full cast audiobook experience… but I was absolutely here for it. The multi-voice production added a whole new layer to the characters and really brought the story to life in a way that made me feel like I was right there with them. At its core, Insatiable is a dark, emotional romance about two people trying to find their way through life while grappling with tragic pasts and unhealed wounds. It’s gritty, angst-heavy, and definitely not your typical fluff. The author leans into some dark themes and emotional tension that gives the story weight and complexity beyond the steamy scenes. What I loved most were the characters. I especially loved Teddy Hamilton — he’s a standout presence whose natural bad-boy energy bumped up the edge of our hero, Kade. Kade himself has that rugged, damaged vibe that’s hard not to get sucked into. And Stacey’s journey? It’s raw and real; she’s been through more than your average 21-year-old and it shows in every interaction she has. Stacey is fighting her own inner battles, especially with the trauma left by her stepbrother Chris — a man I literally wanted to arm myself with a pitchfork to take down. Her pull toward Kade — even when she swears she shouldn’t love him — felt messy and human. She’s tough, fragile, and determined not to fall for what’s right in front of her… even though her heart keeps pulling her back. Kade and Stacey’s connection is deeply rooted in their past — childhood love, betrayal, unresolved longing — and their dynamic throughout the book is that classic “will they/won’t they” mixed with second-chance intensity. The chemistry is undeniable, but so are the miscommunications and emotional detours that will frustrate you at times. It gets repetitive in places because the characters circle around their feelings instead of just saying the thing that would end the tension… but honestly, that’s part of what made it feel real to me. There’s a lot going on beyond just the romance — trauma, obsession, psychological depth — and a thread of spiritual and emotional struggle that ties both characters together as they try to make sense of who they are and what they want. The story doesn’t offer neat answers by the end, but it does set up the next book beautifully, leaving you eager for more. Overall, I liked this book. I really liked it. It has drama, heat, emotional punches, and characters you won’t easily forget. If you enjoy dark, character-driven romance with depth and edge, this one is worth the ride. My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Would I recommend it? Yes — especially in audio if you enjoy full-cast performances.

The Edge of Darkness trilogy is my personality now.
Dark romance is definitely not my go-to genre, but I kept seeing people say that this series would absolutely DESTROY me emotionally…and if there’s one thing about me, I’m a sucker for a book that’s going to hurt my feelings. 🫣😂 So I finally gave in. And OMG. I’m hooked. I’m a goner. Kade Mitchell owns my heart. Stacey and Kade’s story is so painfully good. There is so much history, hurt, trauma, anger, obsession, and love between these two, and I FELT ALL OF IT. The lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers/second-chance aspect had me completely invested because underneath all that anger, you can feel how deeply these two still love each other. And KADE?! Sir. 😮💨 This man is broken, tortured, obsessive, possessive, completely unhinged, and somehow I just want to wrap him in bubble wrap and protect him from the entire world. 😂 The way he loves Stacey despite everything between them absolutely got me. And Stacey gives his energy right back, which made their dynamic even better. Now…the miscommunication. 😭 Y’all KNOW this trope tests my patience, and there were definitely moments when I wanted to grab these two and scream JUST TELL EACH OTHER THE TRUTH!!! But surprisingly, it never took away from how much I loved the story. I was way too emotionally invested. And the SPICE?! 🥵 Leigh Rivers, MA’AM. The tension. The hate sex. The obsession. I was not prepared. 😂 But what really got me was the emotional side of this story. These characters are incredibly flawed and carrying so much pain, and I NEED THEM TO BE OKAY. I went into this expecting a dark romance and somehow ended up emotionally attached to two traumatized fictional people at an alarming level. 😭 And THE AUDIOBOOK?! TOP. FREAKING. TIER. Teddy Hamilton as Kade Mitchell?! Are you kidding me?! That performance was phenomenal. Lucy Rivers was incredible as Stacey too, and together they made this story even more addictive. I could not stop listening. I totally understand the hype now. Consider me officially aboard the Insatiable train, and I have absolutely no intention of getting off. 😂 Kade Mitchell, you have me in a chokehold. 🖤 Please check the content/trigger warnings before reading. This one deals with some very dark and sensitive topics.

Dark Romance Trilogy-Top Tier Must Read
This is a very dark, twisted and corrupt series. You will need to check your TW and content. With that said, Leigh has written a dark traumatic tale that will have you kicking, screaming, crying, and questioning yourself numerous times. It was brilliant, even if it was a tad far fetched, it was brilliant. It is a tale after all and what a ride it was. Kade and Stacey have deep history that tore Kade's heart out and pushed him deep into an underground world that he cannot escape from. Even so, he still obsesses over Stacey and will not permit anyone else to have her if he cannot. He is always watching. Stacey has always loved Kade and the way things were left plays heavy on her. There are things that Kade is not aware of. Stacey has kept her personal trauma from Kade. Secrets on both sides. Kade has a break from his dark life and sees Stacey again. Now he is breaking his own rules. You will absolutely love some of the other characters and you will absolutely hate the ones that have their nails into Kade. I devoured this book and went right into the next book. As disturbing as this story is, it is also one of my favorites in the dark romance genre. Instant fan. The spice level I would say is 🌶️🌶️🌶️ with plot being the driver however spice is part of the plot in the underground world Kade is in. The series does get spicier as it goes. A 5-star read.

Absolutely loved this book! It was fast-paced from the beginning and kept me hooked the whole way through. Every chapter made me want to keep reading, and I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry, suspense and dark romance were done so well. If you love obsessive, intense romances that keep you on the edge of your seat, I definitely recommend this one. Can’t wait to read more from this series!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Stars “Leigh Rivers… what did you put in this book?! Because I was completely addicted.” I swear this woman knows exactly how to write books that grab you by the throat and refuse to let go. Insatiable absolutely lived up to its title because once I started reading, I was insatiable for more. Every time I told myself, “Okay, just one more chapter,” I ended up reading five. It completely consumed my attention, and I loved every second of it. If you enjoy dark romance with morally gray characters, obsessive love, emotional damage, intense chemistry, and enough tension to make your heart race, this book absolutely delivers. The chemistry between the characters was incredible. Every interaction felt charged, whether they were arguing, pushing each other’s buttons, or sharing quieter, more vulnerable moments. Leigh Rivers has a way of making even simple conversations feel significant because there’s always an undercurrent of emotion simmering beneath the surface. One thing I really appreciated was that the characters weren’t perfect. They’re complicated, messy, and deeply flawed. They make questionable decisions, they frustrate you, and sometimes they’ll have you wanting to yell at the pages—but they also feel real. Their trauma, motivations, and emotions make sense, which made it impossible not to become emotionally invested. The pacing was fantastic. I never found myself bored or wanting to skim. Every chapter either answered a question, raised three more, or left me desperate to know what was coming next. Before I realized it, I’d devoured huge chunks of the book because stopping simply wasn’t an option. And can we talk about Leigh Rivers’ writing for a second? It’s addictive. She creates this constant feeling of anticipation where you know something is about to happen—you just don’t know what. That sense of tension hangs over the entire story and keeps you completely hooked. The spice was everything I expect from a Leigh Rivers novel: intense, emotional, and meaningful. It wasn’t there just for the sake of being spicy. It strengthened the emotional connection between the characters and fit naturally within the story. What really stood out to me, though, was how much this book made me feel. I was stressed, excited, frustrated, hopeful, heartbroken, and completely invested in these beautifully broken people. Those are the books that stay with me long after I’ve finished reading them. This definitely isn’t a book for everyone, and that’s okay. It’s dark, emotionally intense, and explores difficult themes. Please check the content warnings before diving in. But if dark romance is your genre and you love stories that challenge you emotionally while keeping you glued to the pages, I can’t recommend this enough. Leigh Rivers has quickly become one of those authors whose books I’ll pick up without even reading the synopsis because she has yet to disappoint me. An easy five stars from me. Dark, addictive, emotional, and completely unforgettable.

Honestly, I can’t believe I didn’t read this sooner!🤯
Insatiable by Leigh Rivers Book 1 of, The Edge of Darkness Trilogy Rating - ⭐️5 🌶️4 I read this as a buddy read, so it took me a little longer to get through than I normally would have. I was completely drawn in from the very beginning and found myself hooked immediately. I’d say I’ve officially entered the Leigh Rivers rabbit hole. This being my first time reading a book by her, and I can honestly say I’m already an absolute fan. This was emotionally charged ride fueled by hidden secrets, misplaced hatred, and sexual tension so strong it could destroy anyone who dares stand in the way. That ending is exactly the kind of cliffhanger that makes me want to drop everything and start on Voracious immediately. This series is seriously binge worthy!🖤
