Great monitor, great deal
Great monitor for the price. I have not used it for gaming, only as an extra monitor for work. Clear picture, great colors, nice customization features in the menu. Plus I got a sticker!!! Perfect size and worked well with my existing monitor arm. Would definitely buy another one if I had the money. It was a steal for $179. Might not be an OLED monitor, but it has all the things I need and a 3 year warranty.

A Top-notch Gaming Monitor
Have had this monitor for about two weeks now and here are what I like about it.Super smooth gameplay: The 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time make for an incredibly smooth gaming experience. I play a lot a FPS and this monitor and keep up!Gorgeous visuals: The QHD resolution and IPS panel produce stunning visuals with sharp details and vibrant colors. I was particularly impressed by the color accuracy, which is perfect for both gaming and creative work.Adaptive sync: The AW2724DM supports both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro; NVIDIA G-SYNC, and VESA which means that you can use this the PS5 and enable Variable Refresh Rate at 2k resolution.Comfortable design: The ergonomic stand allows you to adjust the tilt, swivel, and height of the monitor to find the perfect viewing position. The stand is also very sturdy, so there's no need to worry about the monitor wobbling.Stylish design: The AW2724DM has a sleek and stylish design that will look great on any gaming desk. The AlienFX lighting adds a touch of personality and can be customized to your liking.Haven’t come across any negatives so far as the panel tested perfect and no dead pixels.Overall, I'm very impressed with the Dell Alienware AW2724DM. It's a great gaming monitor that offers excellent performance, stunning visuals, and a comfortable design. If you're looking for a gaming monitor that will take your gaming experience to the next level, the AW2724DM is definitely worth it.

Worth 6 stars...the BEST 27" monitor under $350
Apparently there is a new line of Alienware monitors that will be released next month, and there are now DEEP discounts on this fantastic monitor-which can be had for under $200.Wal-Mart is selling the same monitor for close to $350-and it is worth every penny of that price-but at under $200, this is as close to a steal as you are going to get.The display is bright and very sharp. Important to me is that the stand is very adjustable allowing easy swivel and tilt-in addition to raising the height. Other monitors have fixed heights which may preclude them from being used in tight spaces-such as mine, as can be seen in the picture. The only 'downside' is that at native resolution (2560x1440) the icons and font size shrinks compared to a 24 inch monitor with a lower resolution. This is easily fixed in settings, but at the same time it is nice to be able to have panoramic views of wide spreadsheets etc.

Screen flickering
The first two weeks were wonderful. The monitor brought such a breath of fresh air to my games. Crisp & clear images. Smooth frame rates. Then, screen flickering happened. I replaced the HDMI cable and almost another two weeks passed before it started flickering again. I’m severely disappointed. The monitor is lightweight and adjustable, the images are great. But, screen flickering. I’m having to send this back to the seller for a refund. Seller does not offer a replacement, unfortunately.

Good monitor
Colors are vibrant l, over clock the refresh rate to 180hz functions and the display will a great, no light bleed and putting its through its test shows it has a awesome display, like how it functions though would recommend not installing the software it wants you to do when the pc detects it, just bloatware and what you can do on software you can do manually on the monitor.

It's Alienware alright - First Contact may or may not go well!
No support from Dell thus far. HDR Mode on this monitor causes issues with mouse skipping and lagging and display colors go from normal to dim, while moving the mouse over things. When I shut HDR mode off no issues. Other issues are pixels get stuck and appear from time to time on the screen in green. Running the monitor stock 165hzUpdate I do not want to overclock my monitor but in HDR at 180hz testing this morning has revealed no mouse skipping or lagging and the display colors are not going from normal to dim. No ghosting, very little glare, The brightness and colors jump out at you. You shouldn't have to OC your monitor for it to run properly. Pixels get stuck and appear from time to time on the screen in green. Running the monitor at either speed. I'm looking for function and longevity, and based on that alone, I'm more than likely returning this monitor. Waiting to hear from dell.HDR Mode 728 nits Alienware Color Profile Display HDR 600Processor : AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core ProcessorMemory : 32688MB(4000)Mother Board : X570 AORUS ELITE WIFIWindows Version : Microsoft Windows 11 Pro 23H2Installation Date : 2024-09-01Monitor : Alienware AW2724DM(DisplayPort1 HDR)Video Adapter : AMD Radeon RX 7800 XTMouse : HID-compliant mouseI canceled my Amazon return.Dell also responded. I can RMA the monitor at anytime. I canceled the RMA with Dell too. On 9/5/24 I thought maybe I won't have any more issues after running their LCD conditioning tool.Update - 9/24/2024; When this Alienware landed, first contact was complicated and it took some learning curves but with patience and perseverance, there no longer seems to be any major issues. The testing to get this monitor working better took extremely long. Sometimes pairing things doesn’t always go as expected. This monitor didn’t pair well with my pc hardware and software at first. Software and hardware conflicts can arise. If you get abducted by Alienware be sure to remember and trace all of your steps for process of elimination to find the cause/causes of your problem.Yesterday, I installed this monitors 2nd firmware update and only minor issues. I have it running at stock settings in HDR mode. The colors and performance are extraordinary! no dimming, no mouse skipping.9/27/24 Stuck pixels are still an issue and I don't know why. Pixels only get stuck during editing pictures or video now. I'm hoping the issue clears up. I haven't seen them on my regular desktop screen like before. I didn't return or exchange this monitor but, I might have to in the near future. It's luck of the draw. I read other reviews and some people have no issues at all. Why couldn't it be me, lol10/13/2024 Windows 11 Pro 24H2 UpdateStill having minor issues with monitor. To clear up issues turn on overclocking mode in your monitor settings. Set to 170Hz or180Hz then set your refresh rate to 165Hz. That is the only way to clear up any mouse skipping or stuck pixel issues. Running at 165Hz without OC mode on, you can run into issues.2/3/2025 For Samsung S24 Ultra users: Dex on this monitor is incredible! First you will need the UNI USB C to HDMI 2.1 cable for your Alienware monitor. Let me say if you use Good Lock and MultiStar with dex you can lock in that high resolution you're looking for above 60hz/60fps with multi window support. Run your Galaxy S24 Ultra on Alienware AW2724DM Gaming Monitor on 24bit at 144hz 2560 x 1440 resolution. If you don't need a PC this is the way to go!
