I spent hours trying to get this to work. The App itself is poorly designed.. It doesn't tell you squat during the set up process.. it tells me I am successfully connected after waiting a few minutes.. then says to name the device, so I name it and click the folder tab on the top right of the screen, which I can only guess that is what you are supposed to do.. then I am right back where I started "the no devices connected screen" I repeated the process countless times. Then took the time to look at the Tech specs.What they don't tell you up front!!!1 you need to have everything connected to a 2.4 gigahertz network. Most routers have both 2.4 and 5G.2. you must set it to WEP security protocol. very low security and 5 digit max pass-code3. To connect to Alexa you must have the Echo device on the 2.4G network.If you could not connect the device these are the reasons why!!To get to your wireless router settings.. open up internet explorer or equivalent program. in the address bar type in most likely 192.168.1.1(admin) is most likely the user name and either password or admin is most likely the password.. look on the back of your router if you havn't already set it up personally. you will need to go into settings and change security to WEP WEP-64 or WEP-128.. then connect all applicable devices to that WIFI connection.. afterwords things should work after going through the setup process

Works great. Do yourself a favor and use TuyaSmart app. Mimoodz app only has an on and off button. TuyaSmart gives scheduling, timer, on or off conditional(like status another switch, weather, sunrise...) And Alexa app see if it is on or off. With the Mimoodz app Alexa doesn't see the status.I happened to be using it with a switch type coffee maker and Alexa. Made a routine in alexa for when i say alexa make coffee.Alexa does:Turn on coffeeAlexa says coffee is onWait 8 minutesAlexa says coffee is doneWait 1 hourTurn coffee offAlexa says Coffee is offThat is basically my routineI also use an old dial timer so that if it didn't turn off the mechanical timer would no matter what after 2 hours.

This product seems to be a good buy. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get mine to work. It seems that most products like this are set up to run on 2.4 ghz. My router from AT&T is dual band with 2.4 and 5ghz. In order to make the WiFi sockets work I have to go into the router and set up each band on separate networks. What a pain. Not Mimoodz fault.

can not get it to connect to save my life. using an Iphone x (the app says it supports it) i can get thru everything to the point that it says "name this device" (it takes around 10 min of it loading to get here) i type in a device name and press save and nothing happens, still shows no devices. rebooted my wifi, disconnected and reconnected, unplugged the outlet several time. It is in paring mode when i try to connect to it. Just does not work for me. Would love a fix

Did not want to connect. Tried multiple times on several outlets, resetting the outlet each time. The app and booklet instructions on how to set it up - specifically how to get it into searchable mode - are different.Will be returning this and buying another brand.

The Mimoodz ap is worthless. Skip it. A reviewer mentioned the Tuya app for control and on a hopeful whim, I downloaded it and went from waiting minutes on end to sync the plug and ultimately fail (with the Mimoodz app) to less than a minute configured and ready to go.The Tuya App is your best friend with these plugs.As I'm reviewing the product itself, I have to give it 5 stars, unless something happens and I must return to update my review.

When I moved into my new house we decided to make it"smart"due to my medical issues. We ordered two different plugs and these were the harder of the two to install. We ordered more of the other type. You do have to put an additional app no matter which ones you put in your home in addition to the Alexa app. But even with that a sixty-year-old woman was able to install both types of plugs. so when you go to install the plugs it would be a personal choice.

Instructions were a little unclear but, with patent reading and a little know how it was very easy to set up and works flawlessly. Works with Alexa, Google assistant through the website connection.
