This book is great for taking on holiday.
This book is great. Very convenient for taking on holiday. I have ulcerative colitis which has come from not eating right for my blood type all my life. I was eating almost perfect for an 'A' blood type, but that was bad advice from a professional. The doctors said the colitis was nothing at all to do with food or diet, but ONE meal on this diet got me into remission. I am in hospital for an unrelated non-physical condition, and I am refused my diet and supplements, and my colitis is flaring up. This diet works. Now, it works best if you are double allele and rhesus positive. I have a particularly rare type of B r'r Rh - , and so I could do with a bit more tweaking. But as Dr D'Adamo says, diet is unique to the individual and needs to be personally tailored. As Epicitus said, 'eat what becomes you, and keep silent'. Basically what works for one person won't work for another, so you have to use your own judgement and workout what suits you. Some things I don't like the taste of are very good for me, like watermelon. Other things I love, like stick toffee pudding and three scoops of ice cream are really bad for me! Today, we pay too much attention to taste and appearance of food, rather than it's quality and healthiness.

Good book
A helpful addition to the main book focusing specifically on my blood type in more detail. Would recommend. I think this diet is pretty easy to follow for type B's.

I have been searching for something like this for years. I sincerely hope it will help me. So much already has given me answers. Can't wait to try different things to see if it helps.

Clever but inaccurate.
Well reasoned - if disproved - book that gives a pared-back synopsis of D'Adamo's hypothesis that our blood group dictates our ability to tolerate and benefit from specific foods. I say disproved because since buying the book, I discovered that the oldest blood group the author describes - type 'O', is in fact, not! And there are other glaring contraindications that, actually, blow his theory out of the water. Having no doubt made, millions form the sales, I think a true scientist would have sufficient funds and honour to revisit all his analyses and rework them. I believe there is much to commend his postulations, but a fresh look at the archaeological context in light of the most recent DNA analyses and evidence could lend not only innovation to his work, but also a greater degree of plausibility. And by the way, any diet as restrictive as this one will cause initial weight loss.

Contradicts Main book
Don't waste your money on this. Some of the foods it says to avoid in the main book, show as ok to eat in this mini book for blood type B. Left me more confused than ever.
