Hi, is this a double-sided silk pillowcase or is one side cotton?

Yes both sides are silk. I prefer to hand wash, then roll in towel to remove excess water and place over radiator to dry. Don't worry about any wrinkles. When dry put on pillow and in the morning after sleep it will be smooth. The heat from your face and neck takes all crinkles out of material. Hope this is of help.

Is this a standard size pillowcase please?

Yes it is standard size. I wash in liquid soap for wool and delicates, although it does say machine washable. Lovely to sleep on, no more creased face or unruly hair :)

I have the cream ones but I presume they're the same as the black ones. Mine are all silk (& absolutely gorgeous to sleep on.)They haven't got a zip,but my pillow stays inside the slip,no problem.I have normal sized pillows.I hope this helps you.
