STANLEY 1913 Adventure To-Go Food Jar 0.53L - Polar

I bought this for my son's lunch. He is 11 and a light eater, so he takes it to secondary school filled about halfway with meals like curry or bolognese. It seems to keep the food thoroughly hot until his lunch time at around 1:00 PM. This jar is also easy to clean, making it simple to keep hygienic at all times. I'm really glad I bought it and highly recommend it!

I have been looking for my ideal hot food flask.. this one is almost perfect! It keeps food hot for hours, leak proof, stylish, big mouth easy to clean, durable.. It almost ticks all the boxes.. except this one thing… it is so difficult to open the lid (hot food inside), no grip, no handle.. I have to ask my husband to help every time.

I was looking at this for a while but I was reluctant to buy because of the price. Then I managed to get a great deal on Prime Day so I bought it, and I'm really glad that I did! I was deliberating whether to get the 0.53L or the smaller size but I'm glad I got the bigger one, it gives me some flexibility on portion sizes depending on what I put in there and I'd rather have a flask that is slightly too big than too small! I heat the flask up with boiling water for a good 30 minutes or so and that keeps my food piping hot, with steam! I may have to get a second one because I will likely bring in porridge for breakfast and soup for lunch, during the colder months. But I will wait for it to go back on sale though. It says you can put it in the dishwasher but I always wash it by hand, it's very quick and easy to do so, and I'd rather not run the risk of damaging it.

Very very disappointing. I can only assume there is something wrong with it but I can't tell what as it looks in good condition. It does not keep food hot for six hours, hot soup was lukewarm only four hours later. I very much regret purchasing this and I wish I'd gone for another Thermos, which this Stanley was replacing.

This is the first food jar I've used, and I like it. It has a wide mouth, so it's easy to fill and clean. It's smaller and sleeker than other jars I've seen people using at work, so it takes up less space in my lunch bag. It keeps my food warm really well too. I often only eat my lunch at 2 - 3 PM, having put it in there around 7 AM, and kept it in a pretty cold environment. This is longer than the 6 hours the manufacturer states it will keep food warm for, and I did find it was often a bit tepid by mid afternoon. However, I repurposed a cylindrical wine cooler bag to make a 'cosy' for the jar. That, together with making sure the food is absolutely piping hot, and pre-heating the jar with boiling water, gets me comfortably to the mid afternoon with hot food. I got the bigger size, because I wasn't sure the smaller one would hold a full meal. It's actually really capacious, if I fill it with soup or stew it is more than I can eat in one meal, so most days it's only half full. I probably would have been ok with the smaller size, but I do like the option of being able to put more bulky veg in there.

Ladies like the looks and form of this food thermos, so did my ex back in the day when I bought it for her. The head retention isn't perfect tho, given how small the vessel is and how thin the lid is - its physics, there's nothing you can do about it.

So badly designed that my daughter used it three times for her hot lunch and it couldn’t be opened by her or her teacher and eventually required restaurant staff in school to force it open - returned for a refund

Tient très bien la chaleur Bonne taille pour un enfant peu gourmand. J'ai déjà une tasse de la même marque et je dois avouer que l'engouement n'est pas que un effet de mode, ce sont de bons produits

Ik gebruik deze beker om mijn kwark mee naar kantoor te nemen. Hij houdt het lekker koel en mag ook in de vaatwasser (volgens de beker zelf, ik weet dat de informatie tegenstrijdig is op andere plekken). Ik gebruik hem soms ook op kantoor om thee in te maken, dat gaat ook prima en blijft lekker warm, ook zonder de deksel erop. Wel eerst even omspoelen ;)
