I’ve used 3 brands of these over about 10 years’ time. I like this one because the design has a ring that’s set farther out than the suction cups, pulling it harder against the bathtub wall. I’ve only used it once. Rinsed out fine, but it’s the kind of silicon that might get sticky over time. I’ll update if I have issues with that or the suction cups turning inside out over time (which was a problem with both the other brands I used).

This works well. Lasts the whole bath and is charming.

This little dude works exactly as advertised and is now my bath buddy. I love taking baths. Unfortunately the bathtub in my house has one of those water drain things. That wouldn't be a problem except it's set so low in the tub and as soon as the water fills to a nice level, 3 minutes later it's half gone. Thankfully this little octopus guy solves that problem! He works exactly as advertised. He sticks to the tub easily, and stays stuck. The water in my tub stays full now and I can relax in peace and actually soak in the water. I'm curious to see how much lower my water bill will be next month now that I no longer have to refill the tub immediately after it's filled. He's also way cuter than buying the clear plastic cup looking alternative. I tried one of those previously and water still ran out, albeit slower. But this octopus dude sticks completely to the tub wall and doesn't leak. He was an inexpensive fix, and looks cute to boot!

This little octopus does actually work. I didn’t think it would. It doesn’t make a perfect seal all the way around because the suction cups are only on the little legs not in between so eventually the water does start draining but for the length of time it takes for me to have a bath it’s perfect. It helps to keep a nice deep amount of water. Plus it’s cute. It doesn’t always wanna stay suction cupped to the tub surround wall for storage, but that’s not a big deal for me. It does stay suction cupped in the water in the bathtub.

Totally worth it. I love the little face this thing has too, and the blue looks great with the blue accents of my rubber duck themed bathroom. I always hated that thing in the tub that drains the tub if it got too full, because I love bathing in lava (I like hot water, its therapeutic for my achy back) so this little blue octo really made it better for me when I want a nice hot bath. It fits perfectly over that specific tub drain. You can have him facing in different directions instead to how high you want your water. His little tentacles are suction cups on the tub, but he also has a seal under him that helps keep extra water out. He's super easy to place, and remove. He doesn't even move of fall off unless I nudge him. Do keep in mind though, if you move around too much when he's working, you may just spill water out of the tub. I usually just soak, and not move much. But if you have a kid, and the little octo is looking up with a full tub of water... yeh I can see that water going out the tub. I would think though he's a good safety item to keep little fingers out of that drain. I've cut a finger on it before growing up. When I don't have him working, he sits on a shelf in my shower. He doesn't judge. There's no thoughts there.

This works perfectly! I was worried about finding an overflow drain cover that was deep enough to accommodate my tub drain lever thing. I initially passed on this more than once until I saw a video review that showed it was a lot deeper than I thought. There's plenty of room for the lever, and the octopus body is squishy enough that I can use the lever with the cover still on. It is so cute, and it's blue, which is even better! The seal is perfect. There's a little bit of water at the bottom of the cover when I take it off, but nowhere near enough to hit the overflow drain. It pops on and off the tub easily, and all in all feels very solid. I wish I'd bought this thing years ago!

This little guy works GREAT! Our tub developed a leak in the overflow drain so that it leaked whenever the bathtub was used at a certain level. I did not think I would ever be able to take a bath again until it was fixed and since it only leaked when the bathwater was a certain level it did not seem worth it to have it repaired. Now, I just pop this little guy on and he block the bottom part of the overflow drain. Not only does it solve our leak problem, but it also stops that constant draining, gurgling sound that disturbs the calm of a relaxing bath. The top two feet of little guy do not stick and stay to the curved part of the tub, but that doesn't matter anyway since no one in their right mind fills a bathtub that full. Five stars from a tired teacher who needs regular, relaxing baths!!

Seit Jahren liege ich in der Wanne und überlege wie ich etwas bastele um den Überlauf auszutricksen. Und dann entdecke ich diesen Oktopus. Und siehe da, er funktioniert! Herrlich! Fast 10cm mehr Wassertiefe.

Works well to give you a few cm extra water depth in the bath. The suckers stay put for an hour or two. Although it's quite big and sticks out a fair way, the bath tap just clears it when filling the bath. I did have to remove the chain attaching bath plug to overflow first, but apart from that it's proving a very simple and effective solution.
