A very well made filter basket that is giving me consistent results. Fits my 58 mm portafiller perfectly and is ideal for my preferred 18.5 g dose.

Although I have not been able to use these as yet, I think that they will do a great job. Unfortunatley, they don't quite fit into my portafilter. They won't push down far enough for me to be able to lock the portafilter into the group head. My options are to either spend more money and obtain a bottomless compatible portafilter and gamble if it will work with my machine, try to return them as they are not cheap to buy or keep them on the basis that my current espresso machine may not last a long as perhaps I would like it to (speaking from experience, 12 months seems to be the dead line literally). I know that if I were to purchase a good semi-professional or professional machine these filters will fit, but I might have to store them for some time before that prospect comes into fluition. The filters themselves are of very good quality from the feel and look of them, but I can't really review the outcome of using them as I can't use them at this point in time.

I have a Rancillio Silvia and make two americanos at a time, but was finding them a little lacking. This filter has resolved the issue, yielding the strength of coffee that we like for two people at once. Quality is top notch, I've been using it for a year or so and no sign of tarnish or reduced performance. Recommended.

A lot better than the one that came with my machine Fracino Pacino fits good in the 58mm porrafilter I use about 19gr coffee 2 small cups.

Very good basket to upgrade to. My shots are more consistant with this basket and better extraction.

Quality and presentation was great but unfortunately the lip on this was too deep to fit my two different 58mm portafilter heads. Anyone looking for Breville Slimline - this does not fit the group head.

With the stock basket in the Oracle Jet and the tamp fan on its lowest setting (my screw is touching barely any metal) I was getting 19.3g. With this basket on the same tamp fan setting, I’m getting 17.3g. Using Single+ shot mode I get around 37g out so perfect for me. No wavy tamp issues though I do tend to heat up the portafilter before using by purging hot water.

I had no idea there was even such a thing as a precision basket. I only found out because I asked ChatGPT what tamper to get and it asked me if I had the standard Rocket basket or a precision one such as an IMS… down the rabbit hole we go. Holding the original Rocket and this Big Bang side by side there is an obvious difference in machining. The inprovement is incremental but definitely worthwhile.

Nano sepetlerdeki gibi kusursuz bir yapışmama özelliği beklememeniz gerekiyor. Sanırım bu yapışmaz kaplama bu sepetlerde mevcut değil. Orta tarafa yapışmazken çoğunlukla sepet kenalarında kahve yapışıyor. Tüm bunlara rağmen güzel bir sepet. Fakat Wafo veya Weber tarzı sepetlerin performansını beklemek büyük bir hayal kırıklığı yaratabilir...

Excellent. Did exactly what I thought. Because there are more holes and they are positioned closer to the edge of the basket, the basket passes the water through it much faster than the basket that came with my Profitec Move espresso machine. So, you have to grind finer and the water will extract more flavour on its way through the puck. If you want to improve your shots, get one of these.

The IMS Big Bang 58mm basket has quickly become one of my favorite upgrades for espresso.
