I was really excited about this mala, but when I got it, I was kind of disappointed. The biggest issue is that the seeds are 6mm, not 8. The mala it’s next to is verified 8mm, you can see how much smaller the beads are. The overall length is roughly the same because this mala is knotted between each seed. While that is a disappointment, the mala is still useable. The knots help divide the seeds so it’s a little easier to grab the next one. The rough texture of the seeds helps too. As far as the seeds, I’m not an expert, so I don’t know if these are real rudraksha or not. They have held up really well so far with everyday wear. It’s nice enough looking too. I do like the aesthetic the knots add. I can wrap this around my wrist 4 times. I think $10.99 would be a fair price for this, if the beads were the size advertised. Giving you something smaller than you pay for is not honest business though.

As a Buddhist and someone who meditates everyday, when I saw this Mekhi Rudraksha Mala, I immediately was drawn to ordering it. When it arrived, I was surprised how small the beads are but I also thought it poetic since this also means you are focusing on what you are doing. I also find it convenient to easily store in a bag and take them in my purse to the temple. I counted the seeds and there are 108, just as described and needed. I like that they are natural so no questioning if you have to be concerned with chemicals and although the description says they smell like wood, I didn’t find them to be a ‘loud’ smell at all. The knots all seem to be done well and I like the traditional red cord. I do wish it came with a bag to protect them but otherwise, I think they are a good, affordable value for the money.

The size of the beads was not mentioned in the product description but the size was lesser than expected for the price. There was no bag and no certificate of authenticity. Overall, a bit disappointed with the product.
