Why is there no wasabi in the ingredient list?

Most wasabi powders are made from a combination of horseradish and mustard. Horseradish and mustard have a similar spiciness to real wasabi and helps keep the cost down compared to using real wasabi.

Why is my powder not spicy at all?

The spiciness from wasabi powder is made by mixing water and air into the powder. If you use just the wasabi powder, you will only get a bitter taste and won't be able to enjoy the pungency and spiciness without the mixture of water.

How long will my wasabi last after making into a paste?

Many people like to pre-make the wasabi paste and store it in the refrigerator. For best quality, it is recommended to mix only the amount you will use for the day. Based on how the wasabi is stored, it is still spicy after 2-3 days stored chilled.
