High quality, easy to setup and use.
I purchased this dashcam to replace an aging dashcam that was having issues. I have to say this was a huge step up in multiple ways! To start the picture quality is gorgeous. Every detail is crisp and easy to read. Keep this mind as you purchase a SD card since the files it makes are large I would recommend going with the highest it supports which at the time I saw 128gb, but apparently it does 256gb now. It looks fantastic both day and night, the quality doesn’t go away at night. For installation it uses a static cling sticker both on the front and back and then an adhesive to the sticker for the camera mounts. I love this as there is no permanent marking of your windshields! I have not tried moving it to another car but I would imagine since it is static cling you could reuse it or buy a new sticker. I also really appreciate the front camera being able to slide on and off the mount so I can take it down when it’s hot out to put up my sun shades. Installation overall is easy if you follow the instructions and there is plenty of wiring to run from the front camera to the rear camera. Connectivity is mostly straight forward but a little finicky if you have CarPlay. That is not a fault of the dashcam but more how CarPlay tries to always be connected. You will connect to WiFi and Bluetooth to talk to the camera so you can update the firmware and pull video from it, but one of the nice things about the camera is you can still playback video on the camera itself if you have to which was one of the deciding factors for me. I don’t have to pay for a subscription to get my dashcam videos or have to deal with connection issues at the scene of an accident, I can just show law enforcement from the camera on the spot. The camera also features ADAS capabilities which works well but I don’t use it since it isn’t connected to your car it will warn you of lane departure when you’re using your turn signal because it doesn’t know you’re planning on turning. But it does let you know if you get too close to something or if you’re at a light when the person in front of you is going if you’re staring into space, so that’s nice. The camera is a little sensitive for emergency videos if you hit a pothole a little hard but I prefer it to be overly sensitive than not enough. Overall fantastic camera at a great price! Buy with confidence.

Great camera package for the price!
Overall, this is a great dashcam package for peace of mind while driving. Used it on a two week road trip and it worked without issue. The front 4K cameral was clear and detailed. Slight "fish-eye", but that may have been my placement on the windshield. The rear camera quality was actually a little better than I thought it would be for 1080p. Installation and set-up was straightforward. Viewing all of the set-up details on your phone is extremely helpful and an easy way to edit settings. The fact that it is not touchscreen is not really that bad since you have the phone app. Keep in mind, the voice commands will only work if the phone app is not being used. The voice commands worked really well and are a great feature. All-in-all, great dashcam package!

Good Price and updated hardware
It is much easier to install than my previous car recorder, especially when a complete owner's manual, written in legible English language is included. There is no mysterious red wire extended out of the rear camcorder's wire to figure out, just the USB-C connector all the way for this camera. Ergonomics and the hardware fittings are all caught up to-date, unlike my previous cheap generic camera that looks to be 10 years behind in the design department. The device's screen is a bit small, but since it can be connected to my phone screen via the app and WIFI, the camera's small screen doesn't bother me much. The quality of the camera recording looked good for the daytime driving, though I hadn't tested out at nighttime yet. Overall, a very solid and a well-made device. The adage that said, "you get what you pay for." In this case, a saying that is very fitting for this camera IMO

Very good camera at a competitive price
I have tested a few dash-cams before settling with the 70mai 810 4K. This is a well built camera all around. It gets mounted very easily if you choose to use the cigarette lighter adapter and only use the front camera. If you choose to hardwire and add the rear camera it takes a little more effort but not very difficult to get it done by yourself. It took me less than hour running cables trough headliners and under the panels. the quality of the front camera is very good both day time and night time. The 4K resolution gets the frame rate reduced to the 25 fps but it does not make any significant impact. The rear camera though is not as good as you would expect since it supports HD resolution only. I wish it was supporting 1440p resolution on the rear camera. This camera has a nice ADAS features which probably taxing the processing power hence the reduced frame rate in 4K and low resolution in the rear cam. If your car does not have a ADAS features, it is nice to have such a feature but it may get annoying since the lack of native integration to your vehicle. for example, it will keep throwing lane departure warning even when you change lance intentionally because the camera does not know your blinker is on. the other weird thing with the ADAS is the warning messages does not make sense. only lane departure warning make sense. when the forward collision detection kicks in the voice warning announce it like "front threat car" which does not make any sense. It seems to poor translation from Chinese to English. I turned it off since my car has quite well ADAS system but for an older vehicle it may be useful to use. the app is very nice and unlike the other cameras the app is capable of doing firmware upgrades over wifi without any manual steps with an SD card which is a great convenience. other unique feature of the App is providing recorded videos in a timeline and marks the events with color codes. If you have a ring doorbell or camera you would know what I mean. This is the hands down best app to find and see recorded events, very intuitive. over all I really like the camera and how it performs so far. But there are a few things that needs improvement to my openion. - allow 30fps recording when the ADAS is turned off - improve the rear camera to support 1440p (quad HD) resolution - use standard interfaces all around. the rear camera connector is proprietary instead of usb-c as most of the vendor chose to use. - use standard signaling for the parking mode. the parking mode should be operating when it is used with a 3rd party or an existing hardwiring kit. just an important heads up if you are planning to hardwire or contemplating to keep using an existing hardwire kit with any 70mai cameras. the parking mode will not if it is not a 70mai hardwire kit which makes it difficult for many users. either you have to rerun a new hardwire kit for the parking mode and you need to fine without parking mode. in my case, I chose not to use the parking mode to be able to keep using the existing hardwire kit on my car. simply I didn't want to waste another hour to replace perfectly working kit with an exact same one just because 70mai chose signaling parking mode differently on their cameras. This is something you need to keep in mind

Good quality and easy setup
Front camera has good quality, during day & nigth. The rear has less quality but enough to capture the moment. For the price is a very good option to keep recording your daily commute, and includes some ADAS to help keeping you in the lane during long drives. I recommend to buy a good quality SD card Class v30 to avoid any issues The app is a little slow to access and download the videos, is not s big issue since you will not be doing this to often. My dashcam had a defect but contacted the support team and help me to resolve it. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

20+ Cameras Tried Over 10 Years, This Is The Best!
I've been using dash cameras in 4 different cars over the last 10 years. When picking out cameras in the past, I would read the reviews and would pick them out not only based on good reviews, but affordability as well. It wasn't until recently when I went to pull the footage off of one of my cameras, that I found it hadn't been recording even though it said it was! I decided to check my other vehicles and found that another camera, different brand and design, had been doing the same thing! In the past, I had considered camera features when choosing cameras, but had really only considered things like that it was recording in 4k, but most cameras with the fancier features seemed to be out of my price range. After having had these 2 cameras fail me in what mattered most, I decided that I was no longer going to leave something so important up to cheap cameras. I looked into more features and decided to raise my price limit, knowing that it would be worth it to pay more for a camera knowing that in doing so, it could save me thousands of dollars some day. About this camera: Materials - The camera itself is a solid unit. It doesn't feel cheaply made. It is a smaller unit so it doesn't take up a ton of space on the windshield, but it isn't so small that you can't see or read what is on the screen. Mounting - Mounting it to the window was a bit more complicated than the cheap cameras with rubber suction cups, but if you follow the directions and watch the videos, it isn't bad at all. Once it is installed, it doesn't move or vibrate, so it gives a much better quality picture. Picture - The picture is excellent! The wider angle is great to make sure you don't miss anything, and the picture is crisp and smooth. No choppy video and nothing blurry at all! Night Time - The night recording is also decent, picking up lots of detail my other cameras did not. Rear Camera - Having the rear view camera is an added level of protection that I only had on 1 of my previous dash cameras, and on my old camera it only worked for a couple of weeks before breaking. The rear view camera on this one records better than the forward facing cameras on all of my previous cameras. Connectivity - Once you set up an account, it makes it easy to manage multiple cameras between different vehicles, and it is then super easy to pull footage from the camera when you need it. No need to remove the SD card or plug in a cable; it's all wireless! Memory - This thing supports a huge memory card. My previous cameras were limited to mostly 32gb, one allowed up to 64gb, but this one will handle up to 256gb! Features - The GPS capability is cool, but honestly I don't know a lot about it. I do know that it has a strong connection in my area. Also, the G sensor definitely works to lock footage when it detects an abnormal event. I may have it too sensitive even as it sometimes locks footage when I hit a big bump in the road, but that can easily be adjusted. Overall, the only thing I could mark this down for is the price as it is over $100, but honestly that is a small expense if it gives you quality footage of an event that saves you tens of thousands of dollars where a cheap camera would have failed you. Even being as "expensive" as it is, for the features it has it is actually pretty affordable compared to similar cameras. It's worth it, you don't want the regret of going with a lesser camera.

Very good dashcam with an especially useful timeline feature
Overall, I am very happy with the dashcam. I especially like its form factor. Its compact shape allowed me to install it right behind my rearview mirror so that, from my normal driving position, it is completely hidden behind the mirror. The video quality is also very good, even in low light conditions, with good color saturation on bright days as well. I purchased a CPL filter for the A810 from OfeooAi, which is available on Amazon, and it does a pretty good job of eliminating windshield glare. I would suggest considering a CPL filter to really take advantage of the excellent picture quality. I installed mine using the Hardwire Kit UP06 for the parking monitor. The motion sensing works as intended, but there is a time delay before the dashcam starts recording, and I wish recording could be triggered without any delay. The mobile phone app works well, and the Wi Fi connection is mostly stable. It has a “Timeline” feature that is very useful for getting an overview of the footage as well as locating a specific video clip you are looking for. Overall, it is a nice dashcam, and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Good overall, with some rough edges and space for improvements
I was shopping for "front+rear" dashcam and initially did not think this will become the "trial and error" experience for me. After getting some rear camera quality issues with top of the line WolfBox (returned) and then discovering totally unusable parking mode in VIOFO (high current draw in standby, returned), I watched half of YouTube and settled on 70mai A810. Please understand me well: I was not up to research project, I wanted to buy, install and be done... but given my prior experience in professional surveillance video market, I could not bend my mind into accepting first two brands limitations or quality concerns. A810 is not completely flawless in my assessment, yet it seems to be as close as it gets in the category of reasonably priced front+rear dashcams with Starvis2 sensors. Frontal 4K camera on A810 is flawless! Picture quality, dynamic range and motion fluidity are very very good. Rear camera is "OK", yet still very reasonable. The application for Android is the best from 3 brands I tested, yet I would not rate it as "great", more like "adequate". Still, it is usable and I see that programmers made their homework around optimizing control flow when connecting/disconnecting and getting around the recorded footage. If 80mai keeps improving it (which I greatly hope) - it may definitely get into "great" at some point. Now, some grievances. Installation is relatively straight-forward, but company hardware designers made some mistakes which could easily be avoided: - wires are quite thick, for no apparent reason (power cord caries 3 thin conductors, which would flow through half as thick cord easily, surprisingly rear camera cord is thinner, while likely having shielding to carry) - thick wires make for unnecessary hard to push between panels or next to roof-liner - rear camera cord made into right angle (very rightfully so!), yet power is straight USB-C (why?? it makes cord routing much harder!) - rear camera distance from the glass such that it's not trivial to get between the heater lines Software had its own set of issues: - I was not able to download SOME of fragments when bench-testing dashcam - I suspect this is happening around the "partial clip" recordings, as in-the-middle clips loaded fine to phone - Download speed over WiFi was abysmally slow: 2 minutes to download 1 minute clip I had the issue reported to manufacturer (not expecting much and preparing Amazon return), but it was promptly followed, they guided me through diagnostics download and informed next day that bug was identified and will be resolved in the next update. To me it sounded better than I expected and quite reasonable, especially considering that I can take SD card off and have my video-clips downloaded/merged on my PC. At this point, I decided that to compare to other two(highly review rated) brands I tried, I'm getting reasonably good hardware, tested work-around for the issue at hands and manufacturer who seem not to ignore customer concerns, so I decided it's a keeper. I hope not to get mistaken :)

Excellent 4K Front + 2K Rear Dash Cam — Reliable and Well Thought Out
This is a fantastic dash cam and one of the best I’ve used so far. The 4K front camera paired with the 2K rear camera delivers very sharp, clear footage both day and night. License plates, road signs, and details are easy to read, which is exactly what you want from a dash cam. I’ve been using it consistently and never ran into stability issues, freezing, or random restarts. It’s been very reliable. Installation is straightforward. With an additional hardwire kit, it’s easy to route the cables cleanly to the fuse box, and once installed, everything works smoothly and reliably. ⚠️ Important note for buyers (parking mode): If you use an aftermarket hardwire kit, the camera will stay powered constantly and won’t allow parking guard mode. In that case, it keeps recording continuously, which can quickly wear down your memory card. To use proper parking guard mode, you need the original hardwire kit. Once installed, the camera detects it automatically and enables parking mode. It then records normally while driving and switches to motion detection (front or rear) when the car is parked. This is a big advantage because it protects your memory card from unnecessary wear and only records when something actually happens. Overall, this dash cam offers excellent video quality, stable performance, and smart features when paired with the right accessories. As long as you’re aware of the hardwire kit requirement for parking mode, it’s an outstanding choice and absolutely worth it.
