After reading a Dan Gutman novel that features a different genre for each chapter, we placed that genre poster on the wall. It is a great connection for my students. Also, most adults who visit our classroom comment on the quality of the posters.

I really enjoy purchasing these posters for my classroom. The vivid colors are eye-catching. That is why I was very upset when I was looking at my Genre Posters. The following errors were on the posters:1. The Fairy Tale Poster definition included the Informational Text definition in its description.2. On the Humor Genre Poster, it lists To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee as an example of Humor. This story is and will never be a humorous story line.3. The Informational Text Poster lists Freight Train by Donald Crews as an example of Informational Text. This is fiction, children's literature, or a picture book.
