Have had three of the "Microforce" versions of this shaver (2 AAA-battery versions, plus one rechargeable) over the years. Rechargeable version was not consistent, but both AAA-battery versions were excellent. Lost the first one within a year, but had the second one from 2012 to 2016 - Consistently great! Could blaze through several days growth no problem (I'm a guy, and use this on my face; I'm writing this review via my Sweetie's account as that is how the purchase was made).Only reason I purchased the Sonitek, was that I lost my treasured Microforce, and couldn't find another one online (AAA-battery version).THIS Sonitek version is an utter disappointment. Slower-than-mud blade speed. Struggles/bogs-down with just a day or two growth. Power-switch won't stay in place - Have to hold it "on" to use the shaver.Quality has gone waaay downhill with this version...I gave this shaver a fair trial for a full week. Just nope...Also checked to see if the blades are removable/replaceable, and the Sonitek blades just pull straight-off!The Microforce version is a push-down and twist action: Blade ain't coming off or moving.This Sonitek mechanism is terrible. The blades should stay-put!Waste of money and time.I paid $9.99 for the original at a local retailer. This Sonitek version is more expensive and provides far inferior value...I am returning this! A real shame because the original Microforce version was tiny, and mighty, and fit in my kit perfect.I used the original as my daily shaver, and I really regret losing it.Sonitek needs to step-it-up if they want to compete with the original version!NOT recommended!

This is an excellent little stubble shaver. Does not cause much irritation and gets the job done. Compact in size which makes it great for traveling. I had an issue with my first order and the seller quickly replaced it with a brand new unit. This product and seller is highly recommended.

Not going to say much on this razor given the price point. It's a very small razor that fits inside the palm of your hand and runs on 2 AAA batteries. Description on Amazon for this product is a little off; chiefly that this is not a wet / dry electric shaver but a regular dry shaver. The battery compartment is water tight (small little silicone band in place) as is the razor blade itself, however the power on / off slider seems not. Since it doesn't mention anywhere on the actual packaging that the razor is wet / dry; I'm going to assume it was a mistake made by whomever updated the Amazon listing description.As for the shave itself - it's what you would expect for something that runs off 2 AAA batteries. It's surprising smooth and is able to shave off stubble quite well; however the cutting surface area is quite narrow as the blades are actually a lot smaller than the foil. It's an excellent five o'clock shadow remover if you need a smooth face for some intimate time; but it's not going to give you a skin deep shave like a proper wet dry electric would or a baby's bottom feel like a manual twin blade and foam would.The long and short of it; a non wet dry electric shaver that's good for travel, the office drawer or the glove compartment. It gets you where you need to be unceremoniously. In no way shape or form it's going to replace a main razor.

It does it’s job. However, the silver foil comes apart without warning during shaved. I really like the close shave and decided to get another one, however after a couple months it did the same thing again. Be careful.

Works for a short while and then it needs top taken off and reinserted. Seems to develop a short. Short lived.

Been using these little beauties for as long as I can remember. I love how it works around my beard and ears. Gets those nasty neck hairs too. I use rechargeable batteries so there really is no other cost. I clean it after every use - make sure the sink is closed in case the cutters and springs become unattached. Only flaw - if the little stubs holding on the head break, time for a new shaver. Those little stubs should be metal and reinforced into the body of the shaver.

I honestly don't understand half the reviews on this little gem, this is so powerful small and is truly a very good shaver, in fact, this little unit shaves me better than my $100 Philishave!! what else do you need, you need a shaver that shaves as close as a wet razer than this is it, plus its small and beautiful, I will get this again when it kicks the bucket.
