SFTlite GU10 Lamp Holders 0.75mm² Silicon Wire/[10Pack] GU10 LED/CFL/Halogen Lamps Ceramic Connector Socket

Hard to get excited about something like this but I have gone through a few other types to get ones I am happy with. The others were too short so I couldn't get the bulb connected in the metal enclosure. Then others had a long enough cable but the head was too deep so again it wouldnt fit. These ones are perfect for my requirements.

I used these to replace halogen downlights with GU10. They are a good length, which makes it easier to work with the mains flex in the ceiling void. They are good quality.

great easy to install

These were excellent for my needs - low profile and with a good length of cable. Only slight gripe was that the outer insulation could have been longer so that it would protect the cable in the cable grip on my light fittings. Rather than shorten the cable I just used another a short piece of insulation where the cable passed into the cable grip. Not a big deal so very happy. In my application I was replacing my old low voltage down lighting with GU10 holders (only as my electronic transformers couldn't handle the low power of LED MR16 bulbs so they would just flash constantly). The MR16 connectors I was replacing were very low profile so some ceiling downlights had been placed under pipework and the standard GU10 holders were much too high to fit. Hence these were a life saver in helping with this project.

I bought these to be able to convert some low voltage GU5.3 light fittings into GU10 mains operated lights. I wound normally have bought them from my usual supplier but unfortunately, they didn't have in stock the lamp holder that comes with the longer leads. Over the years I have replaced 100's, if not 1000's of low voltage fittings for mains operated ones due to the change in technology and, convenience. I chose the fittings with the longer leads just to make life easier for myself (past experiences). The lamb holder itself is ceramic so no problem regarding temperature. The leads are silicone high temperature rated, no problem there. The leads are further covered with high temperature sleeving. The longer leads just made life easier. What more can I say? Functions as stated. Described accurately. Lamps fit ok. Yeah, I'd would buy more if needed.

These were just so good to change all my 2 pin lamps to GU10's. Excellent product as well.

.. what could be difficult about using these? Nothing, really, except when you come to fixing them in place. Well, for me anyway. As the leads come out of the back you'll need a hole behind them- I didn't, So I had to space them off the surface with washers between the holder and the surface. Plus the screws need to be 3mm diameter or smaller so that the heads fit inside the mounting holes otherwise the lamps foul the screw heads and will not screw into place. So much fun from such a little thing. But when they're in they work hooray!
