TREBLAB Z2 Wireless Over Ear Headphones Bluetooth, Hybrid ANC, 58H

These are the best wireless headphones for those who like to sweat workout and also tune out noises. They are great when you don't have a quiet household and also at the gym. You can either flip the switch on your left ear and it even turns them into like DJ headphones with the extra base as if you were in a car. They're great to keep you focused at the gym and very easy to clean. Also folds up very neatly into the case that they come with for safe travel. A purchase that is well worth it in quality and price

Needed some headphones to pull double duty for a trip and the gym. It is pretty obvious looking at the box that I got someones return that had the ear cup broken off. Just a bit aggravating to have to return these but no replacement until after trip. I will update this when I get the new pair, they do sound good just holding them up to my ear. Hopefully they were mishandled and this is not a sign of things to come. Update: These really do sound very good. I am not an sound junkie but I have tried quite a few over ear headphones. I usually wear my wired Bose QC25 to lift, which I think are very comfortable and sound really good (with ANC on). These sound almost equally as good whether ANC is off or on on the Z2. The ANC on the Z2 isn't Bose but it works OK for $80 and brightens the sound (if that is a thing). Loved the low profile look, they adjusted well but the ear cups were a bit small and shallow for me (wear 7 5/8 hat and probably have bigger than average ears). They are very light but after seeing so many pics with the ear cups broken I sent them back. I am more of a "throw the headphones in the gym bag with no case" kinda guy and don't think they would survive. I don't like reviews where people comment on the quality/durability of an item after owning it for a day or two but I am hard on headphones so It was just my opinion. One more Update: Treblab ended up contacting me and I ended up getting a pair of these through them at a discount. They asked me to try them out but I told them I was not going to baby them since my concern was the durability. I have used them for the last 3 months and they have been great. I cut grass, used them for lifting at the gym, wore in a hot tub a few times, threw them in and out of my gym bag and they spent a week on the floor board of my car. I had no issues. I still stand by the fact that they sound really good, somewhere with my Sony CH700N and Ghostek SoDrop2 (which have more bass). They are more comfortable than both of the headphones I mentioned but not quite as comfy as my Bose Qc25. The pads are soft and do a good job sealing around my ear after they warm up. Noise cancelling is decent but it is not a good as my Bose (most are not anyways) but there is a little loss of bass I feel. These are very balanced headphones sound wise. I bought a pair of Ghostek Sodrop Pro's that I sent back because these sounded better. Over all for sub $100 headphones I like them. I go between these and my QC25 for the gym, I have a big head (barely have these adjusted out) and these don't have too much clamping force but enough they don't fall of my head when doing bench press (Sodrop2 would never stay on). I sweat like crazy in them and have not had an issue. If i had to be picky I would say make the logo grey on the ear cups and don't put "right" and "left" on the outside of the headband, small things.

The first pair of these headphones I bought back in april of 2018, and I have used them basically every weekday and many weekends since (i'm a programmer, and they've been my work headphones 8-9 hours a day). The sound quality on these, to my ears, is outstanding. Solid low-end, clear highs and mids. They're quite comfortable - i've not had them bother my ears even wearing them all day the way some pairs have. Battery life is pretty good - I'd generally get the better part of a work week out of a charge. Signal range is acceptable. Not amazing, but ok. Will start to break up if i walk to the other end of the house or down the hall at the office, but never have problems in the same room or very nearby. Advertised 10m is probably spot on. Controls are basic and easy enough to use - no complaints. Noise cancellation is meh. It seems to really boost the mids in a telephony sort of way - that's probably by design, as those frequencies are going to be the most distracting. It may well be effective and working exactly as intended, but I don't like the sound and so never use it. As an over-ear design, however, i haven't found the NC to be *necessary* to block out most ambient noise to an acceptable degree. The pads themselves do that pretty well all by themselves. Being my favorite headphones I've owned so far, I bought a pair for my wife earlier this year when she was working from home and needed some headphones. She likes them, too. Unfortunately, i've started having issues with the right speaker flaking out on mine. This started happening some time ago when they were plugged in with the cable and I thought i'd just somehow overstressed the 1/8" jack - but now the problem has manifested when connected via bluetooth and I'm not sure. I can generally get the speaker to engage properly with some taps on the housing, but when i put them on next, i'll have to do it again - maybe a little, maybe a lot. I've given them nearly 2.5 years of constant use, so while it could be better, that's not *bad* for $80. It feels like something as simple as a loose wire or a broken solder joint or something, but I haven't been able to find it. I may just buy a new pair. Maybe. Honestly, I'm tempted to try something else for one reason and one reason only - this brings me to my ONE gripe with these headphones: When the battery gets low, these headphones, like others i've owned, make a "battery low" announcement EVERY MINUTE OR SO until the battery dies - which *can* be literally *hours* later. WHY? This is a terrible user experience - at least for someone like me. I'd honestly prefer NO AUDIBLE WARNING AT ALL to this. I know (about) how long i've been using them since last charge, and some devices (like iphones) even give a battery percentage indicator. That's enough. Ideally, it would say "battery low" ONCE PER USE and then just play until they can't. I feel like I'm being robbed of the last X% of the battery's juice because it keeps interrupting to say it's going to die and I'm like "shut up you've got at least 45 minutes just let me listen and then i'll plug you in". These, of course, are not the only headphones that do this. I've now owned 3 different sets of bluetooth headsphones (these, a philips pair, and a set up Lasuney earbuds) and they ALL have done this - but at least the latter two didn't do it until they were pretty close to death (15 min or so). Still, coworkers who have higher-end (read: more expensive) units don't have this "problem". Treblab (and every other manufacturer of a product that does this): I love your product, but I would literally pay $20 more for the "battery low" announcement to just go away. I am deadly serious. -- Bottom line: these are great - and, at the price point, you probably can't beat them.

I've had my Z2's now soon to be coming up on half a year, and they've been put through daily use of indoor cycling. Battery has lasted longer than I've ever needed, and haven't had a single issue with them in terms of IPX ratings. This was the only pair of headphones I could find actually that even mentioned IPX, which took me by surprise. And other earbuds I have tried that stated as being sweatproof would produce noise issues within weeks. Comfort is solid, construction is more than acceptable. I was afraid of going to over-ear headphones for indoor cycling due to the sweat produced and heat. Neither of these have been an issue! I only have two minor complaints: The active noise cancelling is, minimal. It is there, and does work, but it's far from capable when comparing to devices that cost $200+. Which I realize that's a very unfair comparison, but worth keeping in mind. The ANC isn't a magic bullet, it does do something, but it has limits. Second minor gripe, makes sense to me why it's like this, and I do like it in one aspect; the active noise cancelling can be enabled even while the headphones are off. I like that. HOWEVER, it's quite easy to forget ANC is on, and the red LED underneath the device is super difficult to see. Again, minor minor issue, but something buyers need to watch out for. There have been days where I've left ANC on for who knows how many hours by accident, and went to put them on the charger a day or morning later only to realize it was still on, oops! If the LED was in a better spot, or closer to the edge making it more visible, it would be great. Again, no dealbreaker, but would be upsetting if they do discharge because ANC was left on. For the price, these things seem in a very aggressive position, I have been very happy with mine, and if the time comes for an upgrade, will absolutely be looking here first! 12/10/2023 update 4 days away from being used DAILY on my indoor bike on Zwift. Let me be clear about something; I ride indoors every day unless I am sick or injured. Upon those days I am riding, my minimum time per day is 1 hour, and up to 3 hours. I continue to use a magnetic USB insert and magnetic USB cable to charge this without issue, and still have yet to experience the battery getting low since I purchased these a year ago. I still highly recommend it on devices like this; it means you won't forget to charge it anyways, because there's zero fiddling. Done using? find the end of the magnetic cable and toss it near the charge port and there it goes. Once every few weeks I do continue to pop out the ear covers and was them with hot water, and a little clothes soap (and now Lysol antibacterial spray which works WONDERS, highly recommended for cyclists because we all have stinky kit that may linger). And then I dry them off sitting in front of a fan so they don't get moldy or anything. So how long have I been using these things for, and they continue to perform absolutely as expected? Adding up all of my indoor rides for the year. 1,243 hours and counting. Sometimes you get bit by lower cost products... this was not one of those. A year later, and still very happy with these headphones.

I've had these for three years now, and they are still going strong. They are comfortable on my head and I can get them pretty snug when I need them to be. The padding goes around my ears entirely so there is no pressure or pain from extended wear. They have been stuffed in my work backpack when I'm traveling and crunched under seats on flights. They have survived my tossing them in the seat of the car and being left in the heat of the day. The battery life has not degraded in any noticeable way (though I am pretty good about always putting them on the charger when I get home and remember to bring them in). The noise cancelling is excellent, but it will drain the charge faster than when that feature is not turned on. I typically use this only on longer flights which makes the flight a little more enjoyable. For the gym I will put these on and just focus on my workout. The sound quality is fantastic with the highs, mids, and lows, coming through equally giving a fuller richer sound. The bass is really impressive for these if you have a lot of rock, hip-hop, or certain categories of edm on your playlists. When these finally die I will replace them with another Trelab.

It's getting to the point where you can't trust online reviews at all anymore. These headphones are NOT that great, and I'm fairly disappointed given that, after tax, I spent $100 on these. These really should cost closer to $50. I have 5-yr old Bose earphones that, for the most part, sound better than these, are louder than these and block more noise when no music is playing than these do. There is no planet on which old earphones should overall be better than $100 headphones. Of course, it's at least somewhat about perspective (i.e. experience with other products) and what you like, so here: The Good: -They look good -They feel comfortable -They're bluetooth/wireless -If you're halfway tech savvy, getting these synced with your device should be a snap -They come majority charged, so you can get started without waiting to charge them or using the cable -There's no difference in sound quality between wireless and wired The Bad: -Bass and overall sound quality are hit or miss from song to song, especially if you listen to a wide variety of genres, i.e. a lot of songs sound flat (depending on what headphones you're used to--a little more on this in a second), some songs have a mixture of bass and flatness (i.e. a lack of fullness or richness of sound, aside from the bass), some songs sound pretty good (and the funny thing is, I can't break it down by genre--it's very mixed, probably depending more on sound engineering and music production than anything else...as I edit this, I'm listening to a rock alternative song that sounds really good and bass-y with these, and I've listened to a pop/R&B/hip hop song and some rap songs that sounded pretty good...but the majority of the songs I've listened to are in similar genres to those and then some and just didn't sound anywhere near as good), some songs hurt my ears. Even in listening to sports talk shows, the people talking kind of hurt my ears. And yes, this is with ANC turned on. -People are right about the noise cancelling just not being what it should be. It's fine when you're playing a song or show, i.e. you won't hear other stuff, but when it's silent or approaching silence, you can hear the background pretty well. I agree with one reviewer that you don't really, truly want 100% sound blocked out. But this is too much sound. -This is a bit of a battery suck if you're going to do other stuff on your phone while using these (assuming you're using these with your phone). Your phone battery will run down a little bit faster than usual, unless you just turn music or shows on and just leave your phone alone with the screen off. And yes, I know actually using your phone drains the battery, but I mean with these headphones on wirelessly seems to make it go even faster if the screen is on vs if you use wired headphones/earphones. -Clarity of sound in terms of all the instruments is not where it ought to be relative to all the rave reviews these headphones get and Treblab's description of them, especially given they're not bass-heavy. -They don't fold up, which is most unfortunate due to their size. -Very loud if you take them off, could almost serve as small speakers if you turn the sound significantly up. This means there's pretty decent sound leakage for others to hear what you're listening to. Other key points/observations: If I had to describe these in one sentence (sound-wise), I'd say they're what would result if Apple actually made headphones. They're like Apple EarPods with bass, except they're headphones. As someone who has had a lot of different earphones and headphones... I'd have to say that if you like Beats By Dre Solo headphones (particularly the Solo2 wired), you're not going to like these, so don't bother. There's not enough consistent bass, not enough sound fullness/richness and not enough volume. If you like the Beats By Dre Studio headphones, you'll probably be used to how much volume those headphones have and these won't be enough. These are better than any earphones that come with phones and the ones you find for about $10-30 or so in Walgreens, the dollar store and other stores...so the Apple EarPods, the Samsung earphones and all that--if you're simply looking for better than that kind of stuff, these will work, though I still think these are too costly. At the same time, they sound better to me than a lot of headphones I've tried, including some of the Bose ones and JBL headphones. And they are better than some of the decent earphones I've tried, including some Sennheiser ones. The Bose earphones I mentioned in the beginning are better, but they also cost over $200 at the time I bought them and they do have some sound distortion when you have the noise cancelling turned on, depending on how the buds sit/move in your ears. But, yes, these Z2s are better than a lot of headphones and earphones. Maybe this is why these get so many good reviews (other than the reviews being fake). But, to me, the shortcomings I listed--except for the bit of battery sucking these headphones may do depending on what you're doing and not folding--are too much. Frankly, for me...everyone publicly seems to hate Beats By Dre, but the Solo2 wired headphones are the best ones I've tried because they have the best combination of volume, bass, clarity, fullness and sound-quality consistency across songs and genres--all the criteria that matter most to *me*. It never fails that when I read reviews of people raving about sound quality in headphones, the headphones sound kind of flat. Like I said, all of this depends on what matters to you and what you've been exposed to. If you don't desire bass or volume like I do, these headphones could work well for you...but, also like I said, I do detect quite a bit of inconsistency in sound such that some songs will sound bass-y with these headphones. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to keep these or sell them to someone else or what...If they were cheaper, I'd definitely just keep them. But I just don't think they're worth what I paid.

After winning my fantasy championship this year, I decided to use some of the money to buy something to treat myself. I have never owned a pair of over-the-ear, noise canceling headphones, so I started shopping. I looked at everything from the $50 to $150 price range. I am very specific in the things that I'm looking for. If one detail is off, it will likely deter me from making my purchase. After spending a couple of days in my spare time researching, I landed on two finalists: These Treblabz and the Cowin E7's, which were on special for $60. I ordered both, and I figured I would try them both and see which one I liked better, because that is the one thing about headphones, unless you go to the store and try them out, you have no idea how good the sound really is. So I got the Cowins first, and I really liked the packaging of those. They had a note from the owner of the company, which was cool, but unfortunately, the sound did not live up to my expectations. The bass was not clean or deep, and it rattled instead of landing smoothly and deeply. The other thing I did not like about the Cowins was that they were so wide, they were so big that they stuck out 3 inches off each side of my head it seemed. As you see, details. If the bass had been outstanding, I could have lived with that. Enter the Treblabz. The padding on these was PERFECT! It feels so good around the ears, and the aesthetic is better also. These look a lot more streamlined on my head than the Cowins, which stuck out so far. These are only about 1-2 inches out, and the design flows a lot better from top to bottom. They also even feel more secure than the Cowins, as they don't feel they will fall off even when working out. The Cowins were already feeling like they would fall off just walking around the house. Lastly, the sound. The sounds had to deliver, or I was back to square one. These delivered. I am very very specific on sound. The difference on these is that the Cowins had "more bass," but the bass was not clean. These Treblabz seemed to have a little less bass, but the bass is SOOOOO CLEANNNN!! And to top it off, there is much more clarity in these, and the mids and the highs are LEAPS and BOUNDS better! I listened to the same song on the Treblabz, and felt all the feels, and then I switched back to the Cowins, and there were no feels. I think that pretty much said it all. I just wanted to write this, because finding good headphones is so hard if you have very high expectations. But these Treblabz delivered amazingly, and I had to share my experience for anyone else that is deciding. If you are in that boat like I was, I hope you find this review. Thank you for delivering such an outstanding product! These headphones let you feel the music how its supposed to be felt.

UPDATE: THESE HEADPHONES SUCK I tried to be nice, but these headphones suck: - The disconnect while you're in the middle of a phone call or meeting. - They DO NOT work AT ALL when the USB is plugged in. The seller told me this is "normal" for all headsets, and that's just plain BS. My last pair of headphones worked when plugged in to USB. I know this because I used to plug them in to my laptop when the battery was low OR when I didn't want to run the battery down because I used the all day for conference calls. - Battery life isn't impressive at all. The seller promptly exchanged them for me after my first bad review but the second set sucked too. They offered me a credit to make up for it, but I didn't accept that because I want my review to be honest and specific to the product, and not because I got them for half price when I tried to tell the truth. Reviews are tricky. A lot of sellers offer credits and such to people who post bad reviews and in return get good reviews. Not saying good reviews are dishonest because I post a lot of reviews and most of them have been 4 to 5 stars. If I say something sucks, it's because I tried my best to work through the issues and am still unhappy. Seller is great. The product sucks. These are going in the trash and I'm going to order a different brand.... Maybe the kind I had before these. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PREVIOUS REVIEW AFTER I REVISED IT BECAUSE THE SELLER WAS SO NICE: I bought them because of water resistance as my previous headset (Linner NC 90, which sounded fantastic) got really wet in the rain one day and now they don't work. This set had great reviews, but the sound is lacking compared to the Linner NC90. Because the price is low, I shouldn't expect much. I'll keep them for use when I'm working in the yard or, with the weather change, blowing snow, but I wish I'd bought better. UPDATE: The seller, Productech, has been fantastic. They have really tried to make me a satisfied customer, including swapping them out for a replacement pair, offering a credit, etc. Unfortunately I had a couple of issues that are not the seller's fault: - The first pair would shut off after 10 minutes of use. Automatically, no warning, fully charged, etc. I'd power them back on and they would reconnect and play just fine, then 10 minutes later shut off again. This pair was replaced by a new pair. - I discovered with the new pair (don't know if the old pair would have had the same problem) that if the USB cable is connected to a standard USB to AC adapter and plugged in to power, they instantly shut down and cannot be powered back up. The AC adapter I used is a standard 2.1A Azura adapter, and my previous Linner's and my Jabra's, etc. all work while connected to AC power. These don't. - Due to the type of headphones they are, in order to sound their best they require a 15 hour burn-in, where you run them at 75% volume for 15 hours.... So I don't know if they'll run for 15 hours straight at 75% volume on battery alone (since AC power shuts them down), but I'm about to find out. As mentioned, Productech has been great. I will happily buy from them again. FOR THE PRICE, the sound is great, but I like better sound quality than these, and these were the highest grade over-the-ear headphones I could find that advertised sweat and moisture resistance. I want that because when I'm out running the snow blower, or riding my lawn tractor, or cutting up a tree with my chain saw, I like to have my music going (or take the occasional phone call). I am keeping them and refusing any kind of credit/refund if offered because I believe in paying the advertised price for anything I purchase and keep, and I also believe in posting honest reviews for other shoppers to read. Buy from Productech. They're a great seller. Buy these headphones if the things I've said are non-issues for you. They have big earcups that completely encircle my ears and are very comfortable and lightweight. Hope this helps.
