I bought this after spending some time considering the alternative cold brewers on Amazon. I am very happy with my choice as this is higher quality than I expected (compared to the one I saw at a friend's place which gave me the idea to get one) and is still reasonably priced compared versus the other $30+ options out there.This cold brewer has a high quality feel and they have taken a lot of care in designing the filter. It's way higher capacity than then other options and there are zero sharp edges that are commonly complained about on other brands. The grounds remain in the filter while brewing and don't contaminate the brew. It's super convenient to use and clean since it's dishwasher safe. This pays for itself within a week and is a no brainer for anyone drinks cold brew.All in all I would give them 5 stars for quality, design, convenience, price and a nice shiny cool look. Nice job!

For the home barista that loves the taste of a cold brew without the expense of buying other brands, this is the perfect version that is so easy to make. I love an iced coffee any time of day, even in the winter so this saves me so much money. Just use the darkest roast (I prefer espresso roast or French roast) and cold-filtered water, and you have the best cold brew for half the cost of what you spend in the store. I like to brew the second batch as soon as the first one is ready to go so I have a backup for guests, traveling or whatever. I love the cute genie design on the bottles and the size is perfect. Save time and money from going to the grocery store and start brewing yourself!

I love cold brew coffee and drink it year round. I wanted to try brewing it myself because I like flavored blends, but have trouble finding it during the winter months. I ordered this to experiment with different flavored coffees, and to see if I could save myself the trouble of venturing out in the cold just to get my caffeine fix.The item came very well packaged in a sturdy cardboard box, along with instructions on how to start brewing. The metal strainer is EXTREMELY well built. It is very ridged and not what I had expected. I assumed it would be a piece of screen material like I had in my reusable coffee filter, but this was a solid piece of metal with no chance of denting or separating when cleaning! The Coffee Geni logo is nicely engraved on the bottom and around the top. This is dishwasher safe but would easily stand up to being cleaned by hand. The jar is a Ball jar, but they do have the option for the nicer Genie jar with the Coffee Genie logo on it. Everything fits together nicely and seals very well so it won't spill if it gets sloshed around.I followed the directions and used hazelnut flavored coffee grounds. I let it cold brew for about 14 hours. I like strong flavor so I didn't dilute it down too much. I sweetened it with sugar syrup because it is much easier than trying to dissolve sugar in a cold coffee....which takes forever. It came out AMAZING!! The coffee has a smooth and not bitter flavor.I get about 6 servings out of each brew depending on how much I dilute it....which varies depending on the flavor of coffee I am brewing. I was paying almost $4 a shot buying from a coffee shop, but now it costs me less than $1 to brew myself! Not to mention I don't have to venture out into the snow to get it!I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in saving a small fortune from buying $4 cups from coffee shops. Just set it up to brew overnight and you have several days worth for very little effort. A+

Super easy to use, great size and makes wonderful cold brew. The mesh screen in which you place the coffee grounds is very good quality and won't tear (like my previous cold brew maker). Excellent price too.I'm a very happy and suitably caffeinated boy.

Advertised as a 2qt. The jar will hold 2 qt but really, the brew is about 6 cups. Better than what I had before but would have really appreciated a full 8 cups of cold brew. Not a big deal though. Easy to use, easy to clean. Worth every penny from where I stand. I’ll get another jar for storage and keep quantity on hand. I’m a caffeine junkie.

I have been searching for years for a simple way to make coffee with zero bitterness. I generally add milk to all coffee because it cuts the bitterness, which I find very unpleasant. Lately I've been trying to have my coffee without milk. And after years of searching, I've finally found something simple that works. Tried my first cup this morning and it was delicious. Not even a hint of bitterness! Just the lovely flavor of the wonderful coffee I used for the test.There are other ways to brew coffee without any bitterness, but they require high precision of temperature and technique, which I don't always have time for. This works great and is as uncomplicated as it gets!Thanks for an awesome product! So simple, but so good!

Does an excellent job, very easy to use and clean, and makes great coffee. The filter allows the passage of fines that collect at the bottom of the jar but there's not much that can be done about that with a metal mesh filter. I've taken to filtering the finished product through classic paper coffee filters to remove the fines, which turns the good quality coffee into excellent quality coffee.

Very large size! Larger than I was expecting. The jar I chose is Ball brand but the lid and strainer is Coffee Genie. The strainer wasn’t hard to clean, but I did let it soak a bit because some coffee grounds had settled a bit after the 24 hrs. The strainer is finer than I thought it would be. It looks like it should hold up since it’s not being submitted to high heat as well. The lid comes with a gasket. At first I thought this wa aunnecesaary because I wasn’t going to be travelling with this jar(I just want to store it in the fridge). But I realized it may have been what stopped the coffee from taking on the fridge taste, if you know what I mean. Bought on for myself and for a gift for my sister. It conveniently comes with brewing instructions as well.

This machine is pretty easy to use but the quantity of cold brew is not as much as i thought would yield. The max i could get it up to is the 1.5 mark using 2 cups of ground coffee. I could perhaps use 1 or 1.5 cup of ground coffee so that yields more liquid but that would also dilute the flavour. It's a good system for 1 coffee drinker but if it's more than one drink you'll be making a batch every other day

I've been using this for over a year and I can't say enough good things about it. It's low-tech, well-made and (the way I use it) yields nine good servings of cold-brew coffee. Personnally, I find the big jar too unwieldy for serving, so I transfer the coffee into another pot once it's made. But the system itself works really, really well and I highly recommend it.

Comes with a high quality 2 qt / 1.9 L Ball brand mason jar. The filter is good quality, except maybe (and this is nit picking) the end piece which has some somewhat sharp edging. The sidewalls of the filter can get easily damaged with force - it flexes easily, so treat it well. The jar lid has been fitted with a rubber gasket - I made the mistake of not tightening it enough and shook the contents, which then leaked all over the place. To me, this size and shape of container made way more sense for fridge storage than some of the silly containers that flare out at the bottom.
