Fantastic sound, but not "Loud"
I've had the XSound Go for 2 years, and needed something a little bigger sounding to use at my welding Fab shop job. This should work pretty well, though it won't be as loud as some of my coworkers job-site radios. Of course, I would like it to be louder, but I can't take a star away for unmet/unrealistic expectations. The sound quality is outstanding and has a nice even flat-ish EQ to it. That's important to me as a musician and someone who has done recording/mixing before. I'll probably not use the bass boost that often listening to music, though maybe I will while watching movies for a bigger sound.Compared to the X Sound Go, the Plus is only marginally louder, but it is much more full sounding even without the bass boost turned on. In the world of sound/power, it takes 10x the wattage to get a 3db gain in volume (a perceived doubling of the volume), so going from 12 watts in the X Sound Go to 24 watts in the Plus isn't going to yield much more volume. If you're familiar with guitar, I would say it is the difference between playing through a Fender Princeton and a Deluxe Reverb. Not much louder, just bigger sounding.Overall I'm impressed with the sound, and it can't be touched for the price!!

Does the job, mostly
My primary need for a speaker is to be used outdoors while working in the backyard. I like to be able to move around my 1/4 acre-ish backyard and still be able to hear music clearly. Well, that's a tall task for a small speaker. Obviously a larger speaker is better, but not nearly as portable as this. I've tried A LOT of speakers and had pretty much given up on finding the right one. Well, this one is about as close as any that I've bought (and returned). I believe I'll be keeping this one, unless the performance fades in the comings weeks/months.Pros:- This has a good amount of pleasing bass when nearby. It's not thundering or booming - I mean, it's a small speaker! But there is a nice deep hum that resonates well when you are near it. This would be good for a small, chill gathering on your patio.- The build seems sturdy. Good heft without being heavy, if that makes sense.- Overall good sound profile. Does not distort even at max volume.- The blue color is actually pretty sharp. I prefer black, but this stands out nicely without being annoying to the eye.- This speaker is acceptable for my outdoor needs, but I believe it would be excellent indoors in a small to medium sized room.- I like having a lanyard. Keeps the speaker clean from my dirty landscaping hands.- Battery life seems good. I tend to play it at full volume, and have gotten 10-12 hours out of it.- Good value speaker in performance vs cost.Cons:- It does not project as loudly as I'd like, but it's still audible from across the yard. I wish it had another 10 watts of power, and it would be perfect for my needs.- The lanyard is basically a low quality shoestring. Other speakers have something more rugged like paracord.- I hate speakers that do this - it just cuts off at 20% battery. Some won't play until you recharge it from there. No idea yet about this one. I haven't tried to keep using it after reaching 20%, as it was time to go inside anyway.

Great Speakers bluetooth works
I had a problem, I purchased a nice bluetooth player but if I used it to connect to my cars bluetooth, I couldn't connect my phone. I am someone who enjoys very nice sound for my music and only use HiDef players and FLAC formats for my music. I had been using my USB connector but that only accepted mp3 which compared to FLAC and a nice HiDef player sounds a bit flat. These speakers fit the bill quite well. I added velcro to the bottom and attach them to my dash. I also made a mylar shade to keep the sun from overheating them. I purchased two which gave me stereo sound and 24+24 = 48 Watts of sound. No complaints. These sound almost as good as my internal speakers. Actually, they sound just as good.I have found once you connected them to the player, the bluetooth works flawlessly to connect to the speakers. A few times I have had to turn one off and turn it back on for them to pair together to provide stereo sound. Normally, they work flawlessly. I turn them on before and get it set-up prior to driving down the road. The battery life is claimed to be 20 hours. I have had these on short 30 minute drives to work since I got them and I have yet to have to recharge the speakers. It's been 11 days since I set these up which includes 7 work days. Still no need to recharge them. I also use them whenever I drive to the store or to visit a friend. They work well and are one of the few bluetooth speakers I have found that pair with another to provide stereo sound. They do this almost flawlessly automatically once set-up.I have an HiFi Player that lasts 20 hours on a battery and these lasted longer. Of course I also used the player independently a little. So I am guessing it works as advertised for 20 hours give or take a little bit. I compare the sound from my HiFi Player against other sources and so that is how I judge the sound. I am aware that you can get even better sound from well designed speakers and have very nice speakers for use at home. However, I don't know of too many bluetooth speakers that can pair with others to reproduce stereo sound and sound as good as these. I am not one who goes for excessive bass.

Finally a unit that lead out neutral rich sound!
After buying, trying and returning two sub 50 CAD units like these, I finally bit the bullet and went for this unit. I had my eye on a soundbite 3 as well but seeing that it had less wattage tweeters in them than in this one, I went for this one. After I turned it on and the sounds started coming out of it, I knew that this was it! This one that did the trick. This and many others in this price range are all similarly built but it really depends on the brand whether you will end up getting a good heavy unit with good grade diaphragms or just a good looking knock offs that are of no use unless you are sitting right next to them. I bought two models before this, one from musibaby which is of the shape of a coke can and a second one from a brand called Lenrue, both of which I returned because I didn't get anything out of them in terms of sound quality. I was looking for something around 40 ish CAD but there is nothing in that range that doesn't sound like crap.70 ish CAD including tax for this and finally I am happy. One thing to note here is that all of these speakers are not subwoofers and you will never get what a full size subwoofer can give you no matter how much you spend. That being said, this speaker seems to have nice components in it that makes it much heavier than those cheaper units that are below 50 CAD. These ones have two 12 W tweeters in it. On top of that , the bass set up, which I have to say, is able to bring out the low end of tracks just enough so that you know what exactly that track actually sounded like when it got mastered at the studio, which is quite impossible to hear with say a TV speaker which is mostly flat in its sound profile. This unit also handles highs and mids equally well even at very high volumes which is impressive considering the price point. String instruments like guitar , violin, cello or base have a hum in their low frequency that just brings out the warmth in the sound that they produce. If you have ever sat near a person playing one of these instruments, you will know what I'm talking about. I'm happy to say that this unit brings out that subtle warm low frequency hum for instruments that rely on strings to output their sound frequencies. The two models that I bought earlier and returned didn't even stand a chance at reproducing any low-end sounds even though they were advertised as having an extreme bass and all and but unfortunately they failed miserably in delivering what they were advertising. This one however gives off a nice neutral sound that most people will appreciate right away. This is a good unit that's similar to the sound profile of the big shots like JBL, Marshall etc. So go for it if you are in the market for a speaker that won't break your bank and at the same time satisfies you in terms of the frequencies that it produces across low, mid and highs.

Updated Review 4/5 Stars
I spent a lot of time researching mid range waterproof bluetooth speakers before deciding on the tribit:Overall I'm disappointed. Not so much in the product itself which produces great sound indoors at middle to low volumes. Where I saw reviews raving about its sound in a yard with a lawnmower going, in a factory during work etc I assumed this would be perfect for next to a small hot tub within a gazebo. With the jet on its not what I would call a loud spa, but there is background volume from the pump. I have to run the Tribit Maxsound at full volume and the sound becomes muffled, and the quality falls below par. Now I have not tried it with x-bass off, but wouldnt want to either. I found the sound less than ideal for hip hop or dance etc without the X-bass EQ button on white.I wanted to love this device but I just can't recommend it for louder environments. Tribit does have some of the best customer service which has to be mentioned because it is so hard to come by these days so I give them a ton of credit as an business for that. They have made me a future customer.I have not tried any testing of its durability/ waterproofing but it looks robust. All claims were true according to review sites. In closing I hoped for bigger sound without going to a larger $100+ device but it was too good to be true; I may have been bamboozled by the reviews and not Tritbit. Reviews online are top notce. If you want it for indoors or outside with your partner on the patio it may be perfect for you.

Quality, durability, great sound and would highly recommend it
I've been using this speaker continuously 24/7 ever since I bought it. I'm a taxi driver and I use it -- perched on the dash of my Prius cab (see phone) -- to communicate with my dispatcher via a Bluetooth connection to my Samsung Galaxy A03s smartphone. My dispatcher's voice comes in clear as a bell and I can take calls & end them using the controls on the Tribit speaker rather than on the phone. Here's the interesting thing! I don't play music on my phone, so why doesn't it shut off after a certain time? Elementary, my dear Watson. I and an acoustic engineer friend of mine have developed a "magic" .mp3 file with playable digital content but no music. When the file is played continuously (i.e., repeated) using YouTube Music Player, nothing is heard through the speakers to distract the driver, but the speaker won't ever shut off as long as it has power supplied to it. As soon as a call comes in to my phone, Bluetooth kicks in to the speaker and the call is answered. After the call is terminated, Bluetooth kicks out and the .mp3 starts to play again. As long as power is supplied to the phone and to the speaker, the .mp3 file will play virtually forever.Hey, Amazon, any interest in partnering with us to distribute the "magic file"? I tried contacting Tribit to see if there was any interest on their part but got an airhead in support... all she could say was, "Hey, cool!" Do you realize what a boon this would be for any driver out there on the road, commercial or otherwise, who doesn't want to hear music all the time? Of course, some Bluetooth speakers (i.e., Bose) do offer the ability to disable the auto-shutoff. But there are many BT speakers out there which will still shut off automatically after 15-30 minutes. Let's hear from you, Amazon.!

Bon haut parleur bt
