The worldly life of the crown jewel of Hindu spirituality, Shri Anandamayi Ma, spanned most of the 20th century (1896-1982). Thousands of people from India and many other countries were transformed by Ma's luminous Presence, from simple villagers to heads of state. Although She was said to be illiterate and never wrote a book, spiritual truth and inspiration sprang from Her lips every time She spoke. Ma's words are considered to be gold, full of the Light of Her Perfect Being, containing maps for traversing the material world and gaining an experience of Ultimate Reality. This book is a collection of 48 of Ma's conversations and talks, tape recorded between 1960 and 1981. They include gems of Her teachings and Her stories, all imbedded in animated sessions of questions and answers with Her devotees. Review: This book has so much in it, and Volume 2 is now available - The Harvard Divinity School archives contain a wealth of audio recordings of Sri Ma Anandamayi's talks in Hindi, which so far have not been available to non-Hindi speakers. This book brings those precious words right to the eyes of the English-speaking world, without the intervention of the listener's memory and subsequent recording. Years of painstaking work bring to us Sri Ma's words just as they were spoken. They are a genuine record of the wisdom that came from her lips to help guide those whose goal in life is to find the truth of their existence. The translations were authenticated by a native Bengali speaker and a Sanskrit expert. I have been involved with working with these tapes for some years, from the Harvard Divinity School Hollis website, many of which are of 45 mins duration. These recordings are meticulously listed on their website, and the links to the recordings given in the books. This publication is of a quality one would expect from someone who has obtained their doctorate at Harvard on the subject. Review: Jai Ma! - Anandamayi Ma is just the most wonderful saint and so full of wisdom. What a great book.

Ele exala o amor da mãe! Sobre a qualidade...
Lindo! De uma riqueza Incomparável, compre sem medo e clame pela mãe, você sentirá o amor dela nesses diálogo! Ela virá até você! A editora sempre faz questão de explicar entre parênteses os termos sânscritos, o que ajuda muito. A qualidade da capa e das páginas poderia ser bem melhor, único motivo de perder uma estrela, mas se com essa qualidade já é caro para nós brasileiros, em qualidade superior seria tranquilamente uns 500 reais 1 volume

Sitting at the feet of Ma
Reading "The Gospel of Sri Anandamayi Ma", it really feels like we are in satsang with the Divine Mother. The flow of words is like the wonderful melody of Lord Krishna s flute. This book is a must read for all those who love Ma and want to know more about Her teachings. Gratitude to Lisa Prajna Hallstrom for this marvelous guru seva (service to guru) Jai Ma 🙏
