Aurora Sure Step Deck Protectant for Boats.

We've used this for three years now on the non-skid portions of our 30-year-old sailboat's gelcoat (on fiberglass) cockpit and foredeck. It's absolutely awesome! It keeps the nonskid gleaming clean and sealed from oxidation but actually increases the grip. Even people without proper boat shoes (and people without shoes at all) can walk around safely on our boat — even when the deck is wet.I know the previous reviewer rated this as a one-star product, because he (like we) originally received a bad tub that had somehow been separated (and ruined) by freezing. Aurora and the supplier here on Amazon quickly corrected the problem for me by immediately shipping me two good replacement tubs without re-charging for the postage or making me send back the ruined stuff. I have uploaded a picture to this product's "customer photos" album showing the good and bad side-by-side so you know what to look for. But I think this is such a good product — and at such a good price, and backed by the manufacturer — that you should feel comfortable ordering it here if you think you want to properly seal your boat's nonskid!

It works as advertised. I would note it is very expensive for the area it covers. I did the topside of a 26ft. sailboat with one jar, but I could not get another coat out of it as recommended. It looks really great when finished. My lack of 5 stars is simply due to the price/coverage, not the quality of the product. We will see how it weathers!2.5 year update: It is completely gone. It was gone after 1.5 years and the nonskid was staining and molding again. It performed like Poliglow with a light grit mixed in. In fact, I'd bet it is basically the same. Floor was with UV stabilizer. It didn't appear to yellow like poliglowed areas of the boat, but poliglow outlasted it. Probably because it goes farther (More coats). So, no..It is not the Holy Grail of non-stop restoration. Incredibly labor intensive. the Hypexine cleaner works great, tho.

So far so good. Actually used it on the smooth gel coat deck of a sailing dinghy and it went on very easily. Surface was a little slippery at first, but surprisingly was more grippy once it got wet. Time will tell how well it protects from UV, but it's certainly less dangerous than using regular wax on a deck where you might have to walk.

This product came highly recommended by the company that built my boat cover. It is an excellent product. You will need to purchase a cotton wheel to buff out of the grooves in your deck. Unless you really, really, love hand buffing for a several hours..

This product is worse than worthless. It made a mess of my deck. The product had separated so I stirred it back into a thin paste like consistency and applied it as directed. Big mistake! It didn't go on evenly and left my deck streaked and blotchy. It won't buff back off. Don't know what to do now. Don't bother buying this product!

Sure step makes my non slip surface look new. It shine without making it slippery. My 5 1/2 year old fishing boat looks great. Richard B.

Very disappointed. The wash and scrub worked well, but the sure step did nothing to create a shine. I followed directions to the T and details boats. Hopefully it will at least protect the non skid.

cleaned my nonskid deck like new. Sealant provided a good base that didn't wash off with other non skid deck washes.
