I bought this specifically to keep my handgun at my bedside, and it’s exactly what I needed. Setup was super easy—just popped in the AAA batteries and it was good to go. The biggest thing for me was the fingerprint scanner, and it actually reads really fast so you can get into it instantly without fumbling around. ​Price-wise, I really don't think anything else can beat this. The safe itself feels sturdy and well-built, not cheap at all. The foam padding inside is also a nice touch so your stuff doesn't slide around or get scratched. It fits perfectly right next to my bed. Definitely recommend if you just want a reliable, quick-access safe!

Solved problem I really love this gun safe it is small and functions very well. The upgraded model is excellent have number code, biometric finger print and key lock. This makes it especially safe. After losing both Keyes to my older model I was worried that it could not be opened if the biometric opening relying on batteries would fail. After contacting HOLEWOR I was supplied with the upgraded model. I highly recommend this gun safe.

The biometric fiction is really good. Holds 100 finger prints. I programmed all 10 fingers plus my index and thumb print multiple times to insure it reads them. The battery compartment is a bit of a pain to open and pry the battery holder out. I used my own high quality batteries. Didn’t trust the ones it comes with to last very long. To program your finger prints is very easy. It has a LED light inside. It makes noise when opened. So it’s not covert in an emergency if say you want it next to your bed. So long as you understand what this is made for it’s pretty nice. It won’t prevent theft. It can probably be broken open with just a big screwdriver. And of course the entire box just taken. The cable will keep a child from taking it but anyone with a pair of common wire cutters can probably cut the cable without much effort. But it will keep your pistol out of reach from your children. If you have it tethered under your car seat, maybe a thief without tools won’t be able to get in it or rip it free from a seat frame. To me this is mostly just to keep me legal if I have to leave it in my car. Don’t think it will stop a prepared thief with tools. It will be legal to transport in a car and left in the car if you can’t bring it into a place that doesn’t allow firearms like hospitals, schools, federal buildings. Etc. that’s pretty much all I bought it for.

I read a lot of reviews. They complain of being difficult to setup and such. I saw this was delivered and I tossed it into my car. I was early to an appt and while waiting I set it up with 2 fingerprints in less than 2 minutes. Excellent directions. Quite sturdy and the fingerprint pad is quite good. Solidly built, and the quick start literature is just fine. The protective foam goes top bottom and sides which is important because you could have some slide inside and you don’t want things clanging around on unprotected sides. The cable is plenty strong and it fits neatly under a seat. Just to test it out I can fit my G-19 and G-26 in at the same time. It’s tight but, one compact or two sub compacts are going to fit perfectly. Here’s the stuff I didn’t like. 1) The “bolt” that goes on the inside is plenty strong enough but, is solid enough to scratch your property if it shifts. You’ll need to go to the hardware store and get a small plastic cap for the bolt. Seeing as it’s not a nut but a cylinder, the tightening is tough and you may need some of the blue Permatex so it doesn’t loosen up. 2) The bottom of the safe is very clean and smooth so, it will slide around under your seat and clank around when you hit the brakes or go around a curve. I’m going to put a few of those little rubber feet on the bottom so it’s more secure and doesn’t slide all over the place. That aside, this will be just fine to secure your firearms while in the car or to transport. Worth the money but, you’ll need to get a couple of things if you’re keeping it in the car.

This company has unbelievable customer support. Two years after I bought my safe I had an issue with the keys. It was not their fault, but mine, yet they replaced the safe for free with an updated model. I can not say enough for this company. Very highly recommend recommended.

Do not trust this lockbox to secure ANYTHING against an attacker with a little bit of patience! The fingerprint program button can be accessed while the case is LOCKED, allowing anyone to program their own fingers and open the lock. This is not a secure product, and especially do not trust this to secure anything valuable, especially a firearm!

I was a bit hesitant about this case because I only had the key and biometrics options. In the past, I’ve had trouble accessing my case because the biometrics didn’t work. I tried printing my fingerprint about five times, making sure to capture all angles as the instructions suggested, and I’ve been really impressed with how well it reads my print. It can recognize up to 100 fingerprint variations, which is more than I needed. Saving my prints is super easy - I just press a button inside the case below the lights and place my finger on the scanner three times. It locks firmly and fits nicely in my office. I love the solid black look on it. It takes four batteries, and I think the unit would be better if it had rechargeable batteries, but we’ll see how long these last. Overall, I think the value is great for the price.
