Even a good quality oils wont make ticking sound go away. With 100,000 miles, You prob need to check your valve lashing Also with that amount of miles on a motor like that i would check my timing, i believe. You have a timing chain, people think that if i have timing chain i never have to replace it, and there wrong, chains stretch also. But i would first check you valve lashing Remove valve cover and with feeler gauges and correct thickness check each rocker and if out of spec tighten it down till you have some resistance on feeler gauge. But you can look up all this online for step by step. You have a nice motor, if i would want to swap out to your motor would cost me few thousand. Also good quality oil will help it last
