A lovely story with plenty of drama, intrigue, and spice. Shelby has for reasons from her past moved to San Diego. She really knows no one but as a chef she becomes friends with a few people. Earlier her cousin had tried to set up a blind date with his friend Wyatt. He was rude, grumpy and not interested. Kaleb , Shelby’s cousin lives in Montana. First impressions can be wrong and eventually both Wyatt a billionaire and Shelby an impoverished chef are drawn to each other. The resulting story line is both interesting, absorbing and enjoyable. It is well written, flows well. Is easy to read and believe all the characters, including an adorable little frenchie. A great escape into a wonderful world away from possibly reality.

A great book from start to finished. Once again J.S. Scott has kept me wanting to read more. Can’t wait to read the next instalment.

Great book to read

I absolutely love these books. This is book 5 of the California Billionaires or book 19 of the whol Billionaires Obsession series.Wyatt doesn't believe in love and Shelby didn't like him because she thought I'd him as grumpy and standoffish and she thought he disliked her, but we know what is written is one story but when you read between the lines it's something totally different. This book can be read as stand alone, but i think it's best to either read from the beginning of the series where you get to experience every body or start with Hudson who is book 1 of the Californian Billionaires. I love that you still get to see little updates from other characters you have come to love.

I have been waiting eagerly for this book to come out, I so enjoyed all the others.I wasn’t disappointed, I loved Wyatt and Shelby, such a great storyline, not to much angst at all and a guaranteed HEA.I love that some of the previous characters appear in the story, you can read this book as a standalone but equally as good read in order if you like more of the family connections.March seems such a long way away for the next book!Well done J S Scott on another great story, thank you

Wyatt and Shelby – two damaged souls who didn’t make a 1st good impression on each other. Although Wyatt prefers solitude, his home has been invaded by a dog and now he’s agreed to let Shelby use his kitchen for her work in return for dog sitting duties. They say the way to the man’s heart is through his stomach, well Shelby’s cooking and presence slowly worm their way through Wyatt’s defences. They have an insane attraction to each other. With trust issues and miscommunication between them, they are both wary of taking the next step. With danger courting Shelby, not only will Wyatt’s protective instincts come to life, they will find they can no longer deny their attraction. Shelby thinks she knows everything about Wyatt. There’s still a part of him she doesn’t know about. Will she be able to accept all of him when she finds out the truth?Although Wyatt can be closed off and grumpy, you can’t help but love the Alpha protective Wyatt. Whilst there will be angst and heartbreak in this story, it is a heartfelt read of friendship, trust and love but beware it has a twist coming that will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Grumpy/sunshine romance.Nice gradual move from friendship to romance, and both characters are likeable from the start.I loved having the opportunity to catch up with the previous books characters.Funny, steamy HEA

I knew these two would be explosive following the chapter we got in Chase's book. I loved Wyatt and Shelby and i loved how they really saved each other. I have loved this family and these two just finished this set off nicely. I loved how Wyatt fell so hard even without realising and that they both needed to learn how to communicate as they both thought things of each other which could of been cleared up alot sooner. JS Scott has done it again and i loved every second and didn't want it to end. I am now can't wait to make a trip to Montana and those stories of the 3 brothers!! Such a good read and i will definitely be re-reading.

Yep, Wyatt is definitely a grump. Shelby will keep him straight, though. Absolutely fantastic dialogue, really hot and steamy, with an unexpected twist. Such a great story.

I absolutely adored this book and could not put it down!! Who doesn't love a grumpy hero and a happy, giving chef who can't help but give her heart to this grumpy guy!! Love Wyatt and Shelby together and the chemistry and sparks they throw when in the same room!! Both fight the attraction and have a misunderstanding that keep them apart until a tragedy happens!! Grab this book and enjoy the love story between this fabulous couple!! You will not be able to put this book down!!

I am so addicted to this series. Shelby and Wyatt have this undeniable pull toward each other after a rocky start. The chemistry is off the charts. The roller-coaster ride is fun and swoon worthy. As always, the book was a must-read. I can't wait for the audio.

The book was good, and the characters are awesome. But I think I'm starting to get bored with the writing.I had a hard time getting through it. Definitely loved the plot twist.I think I'm ready for Marshall's story.
