Time RXS/Impact Road Crampons Pour pédales de vélo Noir Noir n/a

I have TIME Impact pedals; I has having trouble getting my old cleats to clip in on the left. Bought these and after 3 rides over 100 mi, I have had no troubles; instead of having to leave one cleat clipped in all the time, I can now unclip whenever I want. The only downside (and it has not been a problem for me) is that the base of these cleats looks plastic vs the steel of the old style. The top screw comes with a steel plate so I'm hoping that is where the most stress is so that they last as long as the old pair. After using these, I bought an extra pair to keep in reserve!

The Time RXS Cafe cleats did finally wear out after about 9,00 thousand or more miles. I'm a 200 pound man and the peddles are still going strong and are showing no sign of ware. I don't think I ever got more than 3 or 4,000 miles out of the Speedplay peddles.The Speedplay bearings could not holdup to the mountain climbing, the way the Time RXS bearings did, and still are. I did learn to be careful about jumping to the ground with the Time RXS cleats. I broke one end of the cleat the first month I had them,but the company I bought them from quickly traded me for a new pair.

I have been using this Time cleat/pedal system for a couple years and it is my favorite to date. I am not sure why this system has not become more popular. The only downside to these cleats is the soft plastic surrounding the cleat that is designed to make walking easier. This soft plastic raised corners can rip off if you put your foot down hard (i.e. fall off your bike). However, the brass medal cleat is pretty durable. So to review - 4 stars for the cleats and 5 stars for the pedals.

The RXS is my favorite pedals and this is the matchingcleat. Easy in and out and just a little bit of self centering action to keep me in the groove. Designed with a very low stack height for efficient peddling. Because they have the plastic tabs you can walk on these without damage to floors and they are not slippery like metal cleats. I get about 1-2 years and 5000 or so miles out of a set of cleats. Don't know what I'll do when I wear out my pedals and cannot get more.

Good cleats. The design makes walking in road-bike shoes a possibility. Watch out for linoleum floors, as these cleats will leave dents in your floor, unlike mountain-bike shoes. Angle is adjustable +/- 5%. These cleats also have two side-to-side offsets from the crank(set by which cleat goes on which shoe). I'm using them on some older Time Impact pedals. They work great. Clicking in and out takes a bit more energy than with SPD mountain-bike pedals.

These are nice cleats but they only last a few seasons of hard use due to the fact that the plasic they are made of is a bit soft and fatigues overtime and then breaks. Just ordered two more sets so that I have a spare around when it happens again.

The cleats are very easy to fit to, even to a new pair of shoes that need the cleadt positioning correctly.Sadly with everything modern cheaper materials are being used, instead of a pair of metal cleats last 5 or more years, these new ones will wear down quickly if you have to walk for any length of time.
