GoECOlife GMW101B Limited Edition 10-Sheet Limited Edition High Security Microcut Paper Shredder

The shredder arrived to my home well packaged. It was inside its own box within the shipping box. The majority of the weight is in the removable shredder top. It came with the promised lubricated shredder sheet pack. There was even a "Thank You" note from the company, which included their customer service number, in case you needed to call them.There are warning stickers on the shredder top as to what not to do with the shredder. If you use the shredder in a continuous manner, the shredder will turn off, so it will not overheat. I can attest to that one, because it happened on my very first day of use. I was able to shred for about 10-15 minutes when suddenly, the machine turned off. I was shocked that it happened so quickly and the lid was not even very warm. It took about 30 minutes before I was able to resume my shredding. There is another sticker warning you about paper jams, which is the next thing that happened to me. I placed "3" sheets of computer paper into the shredder, and it jammed up on me. So, I slid the power bar to the "Reverse" position but the green power light did not turn on. I then slid it back to the "On" position, and still no power. I tried removing the paper from the front side, but the paper would not come out. I then took off the lid and looked at the underneath side. I removed bits of paper, which I thought might help to remove the jam; but no change.At this point, I called the company but found out that they are only available Monday-Friday. So, I then went to their website and looked at what to do regarding paper jams, and what they suggested, I had already tried. So, I thought, I would have to just wait until Monday before finding a solution for the paper jam. Hours later, I went back to the shredder, and low and behold, the power light came back on, and the stuck paper was able to be shredded. Whether it just needed time to rest or it was the prayers I prayed that caused it to work again, I could not say for sure. Despite these problems, I will continue to use the shredder because these issues are not unique to this machine but have happened with all of the shredders I have ever owned, both expensive ones to lesser priced ones, such as this machine.

I waited a while to review this to make sure I really liked it. I've had about 6 or 7 shredders in the past few years. They usually die in the first 6 months, but this one is running strong. I've shredded credit cards and (probably) larger stacks of paper than recommended. No problems. No jams. This is a workhorse, and I highly recommend it.Plus, it's cute, and not unattractive like most shredders. It blends well into my bright, feminine office without being an eye sore.

This piece of crap was delivered on June 18th. As of today, July 5th, it no longer works. I neither went on a shredding spree nor attempted to shove more tan 3-4 sheets of paper at a time into the shredding mechanism. Call me crazy but for nearly $100 this machine should last longer than 2 1/2 weeks. 😡😡😡

Worked fine for couple of hours but when it stopped I thought it was just jammed. I mistakenly took it apart voiding the warranty and found out one of the plastic gears ( don't know why plastic ) teeth had broken, therefore it stopped working. It is now in some landfill somewhere.

I bought two of this paper shredder in April 2017, one for my office and one for my house.I barely used the one in my office, probably around ten sheets a month, but it still broke in Nov. 2017. I called the company, they replaced it. Ten months later, it broke again, I called them to see if they would replace it again since the previous replacement is within a year. they said no. They said that the warranty is only for one year with or without any replacements in between.The one for my house broke just days after the one warranty expires, I called them to see if they would repare it for charge, they said no, advised me to get a new one, which I obviously won't do.I used the shredders with great care. I put in no more than three pages each time, even though it's claimed 10 sheet capacity. I lubricate them regularly too. Apparently, I could not prevent their failure no matter what I did.

Bought this off of recommendations of others, but this is the loudest shredder and it only handles 2 pages at a time before jamming. Not sure who wrote all the positive reviews, but this shredder was a poor choice!

This is the worst, loudest, shortest lived shredder we have ever had for our small office. We purchased it at the end of February and it has already burned up. We only shred 20-30 SINGLE pieces per day.

This is the only white shredded I could find that was compact and looked good. 4 sheets is the perfect amount in my opinion. I would not try maximum of 10 because I'm scared to jam it up and I am sure it will get worn out faster. However it shreds so fast I don't mind only shredding 4 pages at a time. It's also not very noisy and the micro cut is awesome because I plan on using them as padding for packages that I send out. It's the perfect size and not as hard to deal with as shredded strips. I'm really loving it!UPDATE: Even if I only shred 4 pages at a time, something got stuck and now it's not working anymore. Was not used very much so I'm deeply disappointed. I brought it home to Manila so there is no way for me to have it fixed or to send it back. Paper gets cought up on top and it's impossible to open without special tools so it's going to go to recycling. What a waste of money.I only removed one star because I don't feel confident it can really shred 10 pages as easily as it does 4 or 5. it tends to stop and then I have to reverse and forward again - not so smooth.But because of the looks (perfect for my all white office), compact size and micro cut, I can't find a better shredded. I was also able to catch it when it was on discount. YAY!
