Really great product, looks great. Very easy to put together. I would give a 5 rating but for the fact this is not free standing. With slightest gust of wind it topples. But have bought a base and it's perfect. If buying this, buy a base as well.

I love this!! Absolutely huge would recommend to fix to the floor as does tip due to weight but prefect waterproof solar lights making our garden look classy at night really east to set up too.

I was so excited to open this as it was a birthday gift but unfortunately that is where the excitement ended. It is extremely difficult to assemble - actually gave me a huge blood blister. Then there is the quality. Cheap plastic components. Plastic sleeve that stops the arm bending down was immediately under stress and would snap very soon. Then the rope used to crank it up actually snapped inside on first use. It also topples over easily. We filled the suggested weight bag that was sold alongside it with sand and still had to put a heavy concrete block on it to stop it toppling over. I dread to think what would happen if a slight zephyr of a breeze stirred in the garden! The whole thing was a disaster and the snapping rope that is used to open the thing was the last straw. I am bruised, beaten and defeated by this poor quality item. So, I decided to contact customer services. Well! After a fruitless attempt to contact Amazon customer service using their appalling AI system which sent me in circles repeating the same question and answer over again, I decided to try the good old fashion method of phoning them. Remember the old days when we could actually talk to a human being?! But guess what? No phone number visible in the customer service section of the app or on the website. I had to Google their phone number - found it deep down in the web - and it’s not the old free number either. On the bright side once I found that customer service number and yelled at the automated ai that I wanted to talk to a human being, I eventually was put through to an actual real person. I spoke to a very helpful person who has organised a full refund without me having to return the thing. I am grateful for this. But sad I don’t have working umbrella in the heatwave.

Instructions are poor. A light wind turns the canopy, anti wind flap in the centre not effective. It is very heavy to assemble, open, lift and very high for putting cover on (steps required). Essential plastic joints may not last long, It must be weighed down 20kg X 4 (one 20kg recommended for each foot). Height Stem locking screws hard to turn. I screwed it to decking with 120mm screws. It comes with a cover. Cantilever operation, Its overall spread is good with winding handle. LEDs look nice.

Best banana parasol I’ve ever bought, really good value for money, comes with a cover already. Didn’t think the lights work, but then I found the switch on the arm of the parasol.

Had this three weeks and it’s fallen over four times in a mild breeze. It’s peak summer. The base is completely useless in every single regard forcing the buyer to purchase a separate base. It’s 4 thin pieces of metal liable to bend if you look at them the wrong way. The parasol is extremely top heavy. You could have an elephant sit on the base and this thing would still tip over. It’s actually quite nice looking, it just fails at its basic function. I bought a four piece water filled base and it’s as light weight as the parasol even when completely filled. Shame.
