Dr. Woods Raw African Liquid Black Soap - 32 Fl Oz, Pack of 3

I haven't used any other African Black Soap before this, but I'm a fan of this. To start, it rinses very cleanly and leaves my skin (and hair) "squeaky" clean. I've also noticed that it doesn't leave a film on my shower walls or the shower curtain. After using this over a month's time, I've noticed a huge change in both my facial and body skin. The skin on my body used to be flaky, even with lotion. Now, I hardly ever use lotion and the flaking is gone. I've adopted a new moisturizing system using organic products, do along with the use of this soap my face is much less dry and the lines and wrinkles have definitely softened quite a bit. I also use this to wash my hair and I've noticed a huge difference there too. It is much smoother, looks healthier than it used to and I'm not struggling with dandruff (and itchiness) like I used to. The viscosity of this soap is very similar to a dishwashing liquid. I have used it on a washcloth, a bath sponge and a body puff. There are a good amount of suds produced with all three of these, but I've found that the sponge holds the soapiness the best out of all three. Keep in mind that because there are no sulfates in this body wash, the soapiness won't last as long as a "usual" body wash does (but that's what contributes to dryness). That said, this does a pretty good job, although I do sometimes need to soap up again when using a washcloth. I have also found that once I replaced both my old body wash and shampoo with this, I'm actually saving money (especially using Subscribe and Save to buy the 3-pack). I use about one 32oz bottle per month (with daily showering and washing my hair every 2 to 3 days). I'm spending around the same amount that I used to on body wash and shampoo, but then I'm saving by not needing to purchase as much lotion and hair conditioner. The best thing that's come of this though is that my skin and hair are both much healthier than they used to be. I will definitely continue to purchase and use this.

I love this! Clean, refreshing and smells nice. I wish it came in a huge container with a pump so I could reduce the waste of so many empty containers each year.

I normally go for the peppermint Dr. Woods, but I use the Black Coconut and Papaya for my face and beard (Bald, but if I had hair I'd use this on it too). This particular black soap formulation I find rinses cleaner than anything I've used before. Not that I have traveled to the ends of the earth, to Shaolin temples to procure ancient and secret soaps, but this is seriously it. The label claims it is "99.3% Natural" so points for transparency, but it doesn't explicitly specify what the artificial ingredient is. The list includes a "Coconut Papaya Fragrance" which in my experience is the usual suspect. I do not have overly sensitive skin, and have not had a problem arising from the use of this soap. However, if you are sensitive to fragrance, you may want to choose another. I didn't really care for it. I felt as if there was a film residue. The size was great The color was as expected. The texture was smooth. The scent lasted for a while.

Making batches of sugar scrubs for presents and myself. I’m loving the scent! It’s making me hungry... Knowing that I am using cruelty free products are a huge bonus for me. A lifetime customer here. I will be trying all the scents very soon! I have used this a few times and I am in love with the scent. I used to use other bases for my scrubs, almond oils, coconut oils, etc, but I love this scent. It is such a light scent it doesn't need any essential oils added to it to give it a good body. This is a great stand alone smell all by itself. The fact that it is also a soap is such a great bonus. It is so rewarding to know that I am making my own cruelty free, junk and gunk free, such a healthier alternative. I can not sing the praises enough of this product. The delivery was quick, the price is fair, I'm so happy! ;)

The liter size is great, but the 3-pack does not come with a pump; however, the single liters are supposed to come with a pump and only do so about 50% of the time, which is rather frustrating needing to buy a pump instead of a complete fulfillment. Regardless, soap is great and last a long time. Good lather if you're accustomed to using black soap like a castille soap. Hardly any scent, which I prefer.

This is probably one of my favorite soaps that I use in all my bathrooms and kitchen. My only complaint is that I wish it was less expensive since we tend to go through it pretty quickly. The directions to suggest diluting it with water, but I find it makes it too watery and just use it in about an 85% soap 15% water mix, but then it goes so fast.

This is one of the best soaps to use when someone have sensitive skin to a lot of soap with perfumes and other additives. Our skin cleared up and this soap can be use for all types of skin, dry or oily skin, you don't feel itch or dried out from this soap. Very happy with this product

The soap is not the same of what i bought in the past; it's is so light.

I bought 2 soap body wash i like it but now i didn't receive nothing trying to contact the seller and its a automatic reply that said the package was deliver when a receive nothing so now they just lost a customer

Not mind-blown, but fine. Use for shampoo, body wash, and hand soap. Smell is ok, not for me. Doesn't foam as much as your expect, but works fine anyway.

Texture & smell
