Electrical work like what these are made for is not my forte, also I'm getting older and my eyesight and dexterity is tapering off. That being said, anyone can use these to make beautiful crimps on your connectors. It takes a little practice and paying attention to how the connectors sit in the jaws. Speaking of jaws, this set has jaws for just about any type of connector you will ever need to set. The design is ergonomic and the force multiplication is excellent! Changing the jaw sets is very easy and it comes with the required allen wrench too. I'm very glad I purchased this tool. It will make crimping connectors much easier for me in the future. These are well-made enough that they will probably go to my grandson when I am too old to continue working. Oh, almost forgot, it comes with a very nice case to keep everything in as well.

Great crimper, I have been using it to crimp JST connectors which are tiny. Having the jaws ratchet closed in many steps enables you to get the connector partially crimped so it is secure in the jaws and then you can feed in the wire and fully close the jaws. The results looks very secure and professional. I recommend watching tips and tricks on YouTube on how to use this style of crimper to get the most out of it as technique of the user is really important, a great crimper used wrong will not have good crimps.

Note that I got the crimper by itself with no stripper. The crimper works exactly as expected. Install the correct die, feed the connector or splice, feed the wire, then crimp. It works fine with fairly thick closed barrel connectors. I've never had any failed crimps with it when it's used correctly. There's no visible wear or tear after a few dozen uses. The two issues I have so far is that the dies are annoying to change out, requiring removing and replacing 2 screws, and the sheer amount of dies. 9 dies available sounds good, except that some of the crimp shapes are duplicated on more than one die, and the instructions isn't correct on which die to use. Honestly, for the price, I'll take those as the only drawbacks.
