I just bought this for my 9 month old son and since no one has reviewed it yet, I thought I would share with others that so far we love it. I got this to replace his Baby Einstein sea soother, which was unsafe because he was able to pull it down on himself and hurt himself!What we like:-Safe: This soother has been baby tested for 3 nights, with tugging, and pulling himself up on, and so far so good!-Fits nicely on my crib: The strap is very long and appears as though it would universally fit all (or at least most) cribs.-This design is sleek and not as bulky as his prior soother.-Super cute: There are 2 settings where the glow beads fall down. This is my favorite part about this and seems unique to other crib soothers I've seen. I told my son if he didn't like it, Mommy would put it on her bed (ha!) It is relaxing to watch and sounds sort of like rainfall. (As a side note, I will say my baby was quite unsure about this at first since he has a little bit of an anxious disposition, but he warmed up to it quickly and seems to like it now.)-On middle setting, the lights are not overwhelmingly bright (like his former soother which we were only able to use on the sound setting because the light setting was like a UFO beaming down into his eyes and not relaxing at all).-We like that you can choose from music, jungle sounds, or white noise.-My baby can turn it back on by pressing the tiger's jar.Cons:-I haven't decided if this is a pro or con yet, but the tiger can turn the device back on when it has gone off, but it cannot turn the device off once it is on. Perhaps this is a blessing in disguise? With my son's old soother, there were many times when he should have been relaxing but instead was smacking the device on and off, over and over and over.-On the middle setting (there are little blue lights on plus the glow beads falling, but the animals are not lit up), when the beads stop falling, the animals begin to light up (which were not previously lit up) which is brighter than when it was turned on in the first place. This isn't a deal breaker (obviously since I am giving it 5 stars), but it seems like it should progressively get dimmer instead of all of a sudden getting brighter!So although there are a couple minor issues, overall I would recommend.

I love this music box and would definitely recommend. It is well built for babies as it has all curved edges and feels solid enough to stand knocks, it fits well to my cot, has good music quality, and I find the glowing balls that trickle down quite soothing to watch.We use it as a sign to my baby that it is bedtime, and he loves to press the switch on himself and watch the balls fall down before we lay him down for sleeping.Some reviews say the ball sounds and mechanics are too loud. Admittedly there is a slight humming of the mechanics that lift the balls to the top but I don't find it any louder than the music. As for the balls falling, yes they too make a sound, but I feel they sound more like rain, or a pitter patter that is quite soothing actually.Either way, I love this box and have considered buying another one, just in case this one breaks and I will be lost as to how to sooth my baby to sleep!
