Kent Brushes Finest: Men's Range MN1B Rectangular Ebony Wood Military Style Natural White Bristle Hair Brush

This item was not cheap and I was awaiting it's arrival for that reason. I was also eager to know if the quality was up to the mark. The item didn't arrive and 4 days after the due date I contacted the seller. They were most concerned, responded quickly to my mail and sent a replacement immediately. They agreed to make a loss on this item. It arrived today and the quality did meet expectations: the wood is beautifully shaped and very nice to hold. The bristles are high quality and overall the box presentation makes this a high quality gift. Brilliant customer service!

My other Kent brush is fifty years old and still going strong. This new brush caught my eye because of its beauty, the ebony wood with matching white bristles. It feels right in the hand and the bristles stimulate the scalp and give the hair a lustre that is pleasing to the eye. I feel lucky to have such an excellent brush.

This is a great version of a traditional military brush and works well. It’s not as stiff as some but this suits me fine. Works best with damp hair and when medium length or longer. Kent quality is consistent and this is my fourth or fifth brush I’ve owned from the brand.

I have always used Kent Mens Hair brushes,and will continue to do so. However, the particular brush referred to has all which is expected but disappointedly the bristles are beginning to change colour, going greyish, making the brush look unclean.

Every man should own one of these brushes. That’s assuming you have some hair to brush, otherwise a polishing cloth would be better.

Kent have a number of similar brushes but I thought I would treat myself and go for the luxury ebony version in their 'finest' range. Disappointingly, this comes as a painted wood handle, not the polished natural ebony one might expect (and shown on Kent's own site). I'm not aware of any inherent reason why ebony would make for a better brush, so, the reasons to buy it are cosmetic and because it's a little different. Painting it detracts from this; it may as well be any wood, and could well be for all I know! To make matters worse, the painted finish isn't top notch either.
