Top quality and perfect results, cannot fault
Super laminator, very solid and works perfectly, heats up very fast. Great output. Cannot fault. Spent much time researching before purchasing as wanted a solid laminator that would produce expert results and a build quality to last years, not disappointed in any respect. Well worth the investment. Super to have the flexibility of size right up to A3.

Fast, reliable, easy to use.
Have had this for over a year now, no issues, a real cut above the average laminator. It is very exact about its maximum thickness accepted, if that's important to you ... so if you want to laminate very thick card (above .7mm) think about a bigger machine, but perfect for my needs.

A ridiculously expensive laminator, but as good as you'll ever buy
The Rolls Royce or Mercedes Benz of laminators - this is an incredible beast of a laminator that pretty much levers in every feature you ever wanted from a laminator when sweating over your jammy, rickety, slow school or home-based laminator. My partner is a school teacher and it's fair to say it's transformed her laminating life (which seems like 50% of waking hours if you teach KS1).It's the third laminator we've owned in three years. The first was a Fellowes Cosmic, which did sterling work before being jammed and destroyed by a wayward teaching assistant. We replaced it with the similarly named but massively inferior Cosmic 2, which didn't like 250 micron pouches and was slow, very slow. And it's sealed design meant that any serious jams and inevitably the machine would be finished. The Voyager is more than twice the price of the rather feeble Cosmic 2, and feels it - it's still made of plastic, but it's a heavy well made bit of kit. It's fast - very fast - both to warm up and to shoot through a laminating pouch. It opens up, so you can clean up jams and de-gum rollers(you use special laminator cleaning wipes, available online). It takes 250 micron heavy duty pouches, and has an auto- thickness sensor (not super useful - usually you know what thickness of pouch you are processing). It has integrated carry handles. It's very very quiet, whilst previous laminators creak, squeak and grind, this just purrs. And did I mention it was fast?On the downside, it is staggeringly expensive for a laminator (albeit cheaper on Amazon than on some sites), but it's sheer ease of use means it's not a purchase to regret. You'll find yourself doing way more laminating because it stops being a noisy, slow, fiddly chore. So I guess factor in the cost of more pouches than you'd otherwise buy. But it's a great machine to use. Worth every penny.

The Mother of all Laminators
Make no doubt about it, this is one serious laminating machine. For starters, it weighs in at a hefty 10KG. Fortunately it features spring-lidded lifting recess at either end, making it easy to get a good firm grip. Size wise though, it's not much bigger than an A3 laminator reasonably needs to be. It will not consume your entire work table.Looking under the hood (access to which requires power to be turned on and the temperature to measure under a certain level - a nice safety feature) it's of almost all metal construction, with a large aluminium heating panel and a drive motor and gearbox at one end. This certainly explains why it's so heavy. The power supply is a standard main kettle lead, which is nice to see. No external adapters to get broken or lost.Powering it up, you get presented with a very simple to use menu system where you can select between full auto and manual modes. In manual mode, you can adjust for different pocket film thicknesses (80,100,125, 175 or 250 microns) or you can select auto and the machine will measure the thickness itself and adjust the laminating temperature automatically. I found the auto function to work very well. It's extremely simple to use, with adjustable guides at the front to ensure the pouch enters in a straight line, and a catch platform at the rear to prevent it from flopping down after exit while it's still soft and possibly curling. It has an automatic reverse-out if it detects the object being laminated is too thick (not that I've encountered this issue yet), and it has an adhesive detect function to warn the operator if it needs cleaning or other maintenance.I have to say that it does an excellent job on paper based articles. They come out flat and smooth, and as long as you carefully line up the contents in the pocket as it goes into the machine (which is very easy to do) it will still be lined up correctly on exit and with a good adhesion of laminate to your document. The only things I have had any issue with are glossy photos, which did exhibit some degree surface bubbling in the laminate pocket. This was purely an experiment however, I generally don't laminate glossy photos myself. There was no bubbling in any paper based items. In summary then, this is a very well constructed machine which is very simple to use and gives great results on paper and card items with a total thickness (including the pocket) of up to 1mm. If this is what you're looking for, and you don't intend to primarily laminate glossy photos, then the Voyager A3 should definitely be on your shortlist.

excellent laminator
When the box arrived I was a little worried about the size of the thing not to mention the weight! But the actual laminator is very compact and does not take up much space on the desk at all. I have it positioned along one side of my works space and it's very unobtrusive there. It's also not that heavy to move about but I like that it is quite substantial and feels more robust than some others I have used. I've probably only used it about 10-12 times so far but it has been hassle-free, jam-free, and produced great quality laminates. It's very easy to use and has an automatic and a manual option. Being more of a hands-on person I have been using the manual option more as you can adjust things just the way you want them, but the auto mode works very well and produces faultless results so I could still be persuaded to use auto for just about everything I need to laminate. I confess to not having tried an actual A3 laminate yet but that will be resolved in a few weeks when I do have an A3 project to complete. If there are any problems with that, I will update this review. If not, then you can assume that everything went smoothly. I have no complaints with this product and can find no faults 5/5

SUPER
