DAXSMY 10 Inch Wall Clock, Battery Operated Silent Non Ticking

Bought for my mom in memory care . The size is perfect , easy to see, nice looking, made well , easy to put battery’s in and easy to set time. The black and white contrast is great for seeing on wall , made well I recommend.

Bought this clock to hang in my young daughter's bedroom as a way to learn to tell time on an analog clock. It's a very good, basic clock at an excellent price. That may not sound like much but when you try going down the list of things it rapidly becomes a short list of options. Legible font, clear markers, visible hands that clearly taper and end near a marker, a gloriously smooth sweeping seconds hand and a clock face uncluttered with obnoxious logos, text or other branding. Clock comes with some mounting options but I just slapped on a 3M Velcro "command strip" rated for 3lbs per strip which is more than sufficient. Accuracy-wise it'll be interesting to see how this performs, my expectations are that this will perform like a low end quartz at not more than 30 seconds to a minute a month with a significant range across individual units, but each unit will be fairly consistent in how fast or slow it is. If it sticks to that it's probably fine enough for most people in most settings, especially if they need to adjust the clock twice a year anyway for daylight savings time. Pictured is the 12 inch clock, which feels like a good, standard-sized clock for most rooms, bedrooms, family rooms, offices, kitchens, etc. 10 inches might be better limited to a bathroom, cubicle or other setting where the reader is very close to the clock lest it feels small. 14 inches is probably the better choice for a very large room like a classroom, or for someone with significant visual impairment and a large lecture hall probably would require the 14 inch clock (or larger than 14 inches from someone else) UPDATE: After a few days it appears to be running just under 1 second a day slow. I'll update as it progresses. I realize now that with the clean sweep seconds that only start when the battery is connected it does make setting the clock a little bit of a hassle- ideally you pull out the battery when the seconds hand is on the 12, then align the hands so the minute hand is right on the mark (slight challenge as there's some play in the settings dial), then carefully work to shove the battery back in a the instant the time is what you set it to. These are relatively small complaints and well within my expectations for a wall clock of this price.

Clear face, crisp, large numbers and a simple design. This was perfect for our designated “clock space” in our kitchen. It hangs high on a wall above the sink, but is clear to read (even to our middle age eyes). The red second hand is something I didn’t know I could use until this clock. The clock is within 6 feet from our oven, so I can watch the second clock easily if timing something I’m cooking that needs less than a minute. This is a good buy from my perspective, especially if you like a more minimalist, clean looking clock

Purchased the 10 inch white for bathroom. I love the easy to read/clean/minimalist look of it. Can see it without glasses... Or even if you were squinting from getting soap in your eyes while shampooing in shower... Lol. These clocks come in 8, 10, 12, 14, or 16 inch (depending on availability by color choice). For my small guest bathroom, the 8 inch would have been fine, but I opted for 10 inch just in case I wanted to use it in a larger space in future. Looks great. Runs on one AA battery. Look around... The only time you discover all of your clocks in your house happen to run on electricity (oven, microwave, tv, etc) is when there's a power outage... Lol. Will be nice to have this battery operated clock as an "old faithful" teller of time in power outage... Lol. The seconds hand doesn't "tick" the seconds by... It silently glides around continuously. I feel like a moron that I didn't consider how the acoustics in a small bathroom may make the ticking of a clock sound annoying... So this surprise "silence" was an unexpected and underestimated bonus! This is just one of those little simple things that make you say "Why didn't I get one sooner?"... Lol.

This wall clock is very easy to set up with a single AA battery. A great feature is that the second hand moves smoothly without making the usual ticking sound. I chose the black color, which looks great against my off-white wall. Setting the time is simple using the small wheel on the back. The white background with black numbers makes it easy to read the time. I bought the 8-inch size, thinking it would be enough for my small bedroom, but it turned out a bit smaller than I expected. Other than the size, everything else works perfectly.

This clock is accurate, silent continuous-sweep (no ticking noise from the second hand), and it is large enough to be seen across the room (14" diameter). I have bought a lot of other wall clocks from local stores and they have had loud ticking second hand movements which could be heard at night when everyone is trying to sleep and those clocks were slow or fast right out of the box and had to be adjusted frequently. This clock has been accurate (I've bought 3), I change the battery once a year, and the continuous-sweep second hand is silent. The numbers are large and readable (black numbers against the white face) and, if the power goes out, the clock still runs. It's quickly mounted to the wall with a Command adhesive hook (the one with the metal hook) because the clock is light. The time is easily set with a dial wheel on the back of the clock.
