Great saw, but can I buy a case for this 8" version?
I took off one star because while the 8" version of this chainsaw works great, it doesn't come with a plastic case like the 6" version does. I would have gladly paid extra if it did, and other competitors that offer an 8" chainsaw do come with a case. Both my 12" 20v battery and 18" gas chainsaws have cases.I expect that after initial use, it will get wood particles stuck to it from the bar oil and produce a mess in the cardboard box it came in if I store it there. A plastic case would be much better to protect it and keep dust and other elements off it when not used. I'd be a much happier customer if a case can be purchased for a reasonable price for this chainsaw.

Chain will not stay tight and will not keep running
The chain consistently keeps coming loose and with a fully charged battery it will only run for 15 seconds and stops. I purchased over Christmas for spring use so I unfortunately had exceeded my return window. Very very disappointed in this purchase and am soooo unhappy that I can’t use for what it was intended….. quality is just horrendous!!!!!

Works as it should
******REVIEW EDIT - The seller reached out to me and sent me a replacement saw. The saw I 1st received must have had a defect. This new saw works as it should. *********If you look at the pictures of the gear that drives the chain, it is 4 or 5 times as wide as the chain itself. EVERYTIME you start cutting, the chain "walks" side to side on this wide drive gear and when it does, the chain pops right off and you have to stop and put the chain back on. I have adjusted the tension of the chain multiple times and the best that it does is cut 2 or 3 times and then the chain comes off and you have to stop and put it back on. IF they would have made this with a drive gear the same width as the chain, then this would be a good little saw!

China made... gave it away to a young man. Just to play with.... 40 dollar throw away.....

Cut like a chainsaw
Lightweight, easy to handle, cut branches with ease and did the job! Cut 4 inch diameter branches with no problem. Gear cover tab kept falling off when opening the covering. Auto tension adjustment is a great idea but chain came loose after a short time.
