Microsoft Xbox One Wireless Adapter for Windows (Bulk Packaging)

When I originally bought this, it was $35 and Best Buy was selling for $25, so I returned it to Amazon. Best Buy no longer sells it separate, only in bundles with controllers.Also thought my original was defective, but turned out that I had an original Xbox One controller which only worked with an older, bulkier version of the wireless adapter that was no longer sold. They updated the controllers at some point of the Xbox One life cycle, so make sure you have the newer one or a Series X/S controller if you want to use this adapter with it.

The adapter itself is great, no connection issues with the controllers and full support for the 3.5mm headphone jack. I've bought 3 of the bulk adapters so far and 2 of the three have been fine. The third started flaking out and stopped working after about half an hour. If you want the savings, these bulk packaging ones seem like a good deal especially with Amazon's easy returns in case you do get a dud.

So far it's held up well but two major things to know:1) You will need to update the drivers via Windows Updates in the optional section.2) Important! Using Device Manager, go in to your Network Adaptors, Xbox Wireless..., and in the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn it off to save power. If you don't, your controller(s) will likely lose connection fairly often, usually at really inopportune times.Running it in a usb 2.0 slot keeps it running cooler as well.Worth the money once those notes are addressed.

I was the same as you, looking for a Xbox wireless dongle but not for 50$. This is a legitament Xbox dongle and is not a scam as far as I can tell. Lord of company’s get shipments in bags instead of boxes and are known as “bulk” shipments for various reasons. This dose come in a bag and seems sketchy at first but it does work and as far as I can tell by scans and examinations has no virus or bugs preloaded into it. It does require a bit of know how to get it working without a manual. You will need to go in an install Driver’s for it manually in your device manager. And then holding down the hitting will put it into pair mode. Someone on here did talk about it being plugged in and not working and that it was a device manager issue and they were correct so if you buy it and plug it in and no light comes on do not worry. Go into your device manager and find the device, usually it’ll be under port connections and be labeled like “Xbox wireless” or something of that sort. Right click on it and have it install your drivers from the internet after that it should work just fine.

My Experience:I purchased this product because it was the lowest price that I could find for the Xbox Wireless Adapter (as of April 2020), so naturally I hadn't bothered to check the reviews, because I knew Expedited Warehouse is a trusted Amazon seller (I just googled some reviews about them as a seller, I have never purchased anything from them in the past). About a day later I decided to do some more digging just because I got curious and decided to look at the reviews. I saw a lot of reviews that said that what is displayed in the photo is not what they received and that it is false advertising. Shortly after that I tried to cancel my order, but it was too late for that. So, I just waited for the package to come in, and surprisingly I had actually received what is displayed in the photo. I guess I got lucky. I don't really know.Unboxing and Setup:With regards to the unboxing and setup of the adapter, it was fairly simple. I received the adapter and an USB extension cable for it; there were no instructions or a user manual though. Also, it did not actually come in the box that Microsoft would sell it to you in.With setting it up, all you have to do is: plug it into your PC; put it into pairing mode by pressing and holding the connection button for just a second; then powering the device that you wish to pair it with (whether that be an xbox wireless controller, or a SteelSeries Arctis 9X Headset like I have); put your device into pairing mode; lastly they should pair within a few seconds. Your PC will recognize this and it will notify you that is setting it up and you should be good to go.When powering on your device, most likely it is paired to your xbox by default, so just unplug the power cable in the back of your Xbox to stop the controller or headset from connecting or powering on the xbox.For SteelSeries Arctis 9X Users:For anyone that has a SteelSeries Arctis 9X Headset, I imagine that you've been through some trouble to figure out how to use this headset on your PC. Believe me, when I tried using this headset on my PC through bluetooth, it was a horrible experience. Audio kept cutting in and out, and my microphone wouldn't work. Also, I couldn't use the voice/game mixer or the volume control on the actual headset. I'm not really sure why SteelSeries hasn't made their customers more aware that in order to use this headset on a PC, you need to also purchase this adapter.Anyways, I can confirm that this adapter definitely fixed all the audio, microphone and voice/game mixer issues. So, no, it does not solely provide wireless audio, but also allows you to use your headset microphone.Oh and last thing, you are able to connect your xbox wireless controller and headset to the adapter simultaneously, just as if you were on your Xbox.I hope this helps!

Ich habe schon einige Bluetooth Empfänger ausprobiert, um auch den originalen Xbox One+Series S/X Controller am PC zu vernünftig zu nutzen. Und die sind alle komplett durchgefallen. Selbst der von meinem Mainboard Hersteller Asus originale Bluetooth Stick, macht erst eine gute Verbindung, um dann aber nach ca. 45 Minuten die Verbindung wieder zu verlieren. Sehr frustrierend wenn man gerade in einem Spiel ist. Dieser Stick hat mich trotz der vielen schlechten Bewertungen, positiv überrascht. Er hält durchgehend die Verbindung über Stunden stabil und die hier oft genannten Treiber Probleme gab es auch nicht. Er hat sich sofort über Plug& Play selber den Treiber installiert und wird auch in den Optionen als Xbox Empfänger angezeigt. Das er kein Originaler Stick von Microsoft sein soll, kann ich auch nicht nachvollziehen. Er sieht aus wie der von Microsoft, hat das Logo von Microsoft vorne drauf. Und hinten die Microsoft Bedruckung. Er wird auch nicht warm. Und ich glaube das Microsoft sofort gegen Stick dagegen angegangen wäre, Falls jemand eine so dreiste Kopie auf den Markt bringen würde.Alles in allem, ich werde mir für den zweiten Rechner auch noch einen bestellen. Denn besser geht es nicht. Mein System Windows 10pro.

Compré un control de Xbox para mi PC, y no lo detectaba, con éste receptor la verdad es que juego sin problemas. No me ha fallado, tengo meses con el.

Der Stick scheint, entgegen mancher Kommentare, original zu sein. Unter Windows 11 wurde er bei mir direkt erkannt. Die Koppelung mit Controller und XBox Wireless Headset war problemlos.Auch die teils beschriebenen Update Probleme hatte ich nicht.Einzig der Preis ist recht hoch, wenn man bedenkt, dass nichtmal das Zubehörkabel mit dabei ist.

Hatte den Adapter benötigt für Xbox Headset am PC funktioniert einwandfrei sogar das Mikrofon des Headset funktioniert. 1A Produkt.
