French Manicure - 22005 Bare Rose by Orly for Women - 0.6 oz Nail Polish

I love this polish so much! It’s the perfect light pink color. Two coats gives you a sheer light pink that makes natural nails look like they’re flawless, and three coats gives you a beautiful opaque light pink. The formula is thin and levels itself out so it doesn’t get streaky. It’s super shiny and gives you a professional looking manicure. I use Sèche Vite base coat and gel top coat, and my manicure lasts for at least a week. After a week I start getting little chips, but they not super noticeable so I can get away with going longer between manicures. I haven’t tried it with a french manicure but I think it would turn out beautifully if that’s what you’re looking for.

This stuff is the best. Particularly great if you're under Coronapocalypse pressure and either fairly new to doing your own nails, or pressed for time (maybe because like me you're in wife/mommy mode 24/7 with all these people at home that need you ALL THE TIME nowadays, and you feel like you barely have time for you?😁). You still want your hands to look great, and this stuff makes that part super easy. Don't be fooled by the color on the bottle though! This is not your regular opaque nail polish. It's decidedly more nude, more translucent. There are other more opaque colors in the Orly French Manicure line and in my humble opinion, this is the most natural looking one by a mile. Some of the other colors are so heavily tinted that it adds a strange look to the white tips of your nails. Which kinda defeats the thought of a French manicure. I personally use this when I either need a mani-in-a-hurry, or if I am all over the place in terms of colors that I'm wearing and feeling and don't want to commit to any one particular shade. This product doesn't even need a base coat. Just swipe on a coat, let it dry, then add another coat. A clear top coat isn't necessary for me, but if you wish you could always add one. To be clear, this is a one-step polish. There are no stupid sticker guides to fumble with, and there is no separate white polish for your tips. Unless you're blessed (or creepy?) enough to be ambidextrous, you will always end up with one hand reasonably well done and the other one a total nightmare, with multi-step French manicure kits. Unless you have someone to do that OTHER hand, it's never a job you can be proud of. With this stuff, those time consuming and messy challenges are a thing of the past. Apart from how great it looks, the other added beauty is that it requires virtually no clean up because it's so nude looking. This is another reason why it's great if you always feel like you're in a pinch for time. The color is so nude that it adds a noticeable-if-you-look hue to your nail, yet clear enough to allow the naturally white tips of your nails to shine through beautifully. Hence the appearance of a French manicure. Last point of fabulousness with this find is the ease of removal. Because of its barely-there look, removal is a breeze. Zero staining and messes, it wipes off easily with no residual mess left behind. It comes off easily with any ol' nail polishe remover you already have on hand, and leaves your nails in great shape. No soaking, no harsh chemicals needed, and no buffing and filing to remove any staining. This is a must-have item to have on hand, and gets your nails looking perfectly tended in a breeze. Highly highly highly recommend it.

By the time I remembered to review this I am almost to the bottom of the barrel and need another bottle. I do realize this is a brand with some personal reasons to not support them. But this brand’s french is super for me. I can’t say this is streak free but for me it has a bit to do with deep ridges. I am at the age those happen but I am in recovery from finding out I am allergic to gel now and need to use air dry polish. I try to use a ridge filler before this. The opacity is great for me to use as a sheer and also as a nail white that looks natural. I am a traditional artist with long nails and some fallen soldiers I am growing out. My nails can look sort of bleh without a nice coat of this over them. The consistency is runny but it gets a put goopy fast. I can layer it to build but I know I need to get more milky options than this. It is super easy to use and I like the brushes this brand uses. I’ve been having to reinvest in air dry so I only have a few items. I like that I can put this one on quickly because as a busy mom I have zero time for polish and end up just doing fast sheers. I used to use this brand a lot but it was over 16 years ago. The brand still seems to be in the range it was. For the price I am happy with this. It is harder for me to find a nice french I can layer other sheers with. Right now I have it on just the tips, with a treatment in a sheer clear pink, and a coat of a milky pink on top of everything with the orly top coat.

I love the Orly brand! This one is like the color in the picture. It’s so pretty and makes my French manicures beautiful, brilliant, and bold. Can’t wait to use it again!

Sheer nude is my fav from manicure line, comparable with orly breathable in nourishing nude that seems to me to be more lively and slightly pinkish and which I love most. Posting pictures of 1 and 2 coats that were applied to bare nails, without base or top coat. To me, this is really amazing nail polish and no brainer buy for classy looking healthy nails. It doesn't get discolored (many will get yellow) and has really decent hold. I feel this shade will go good with any skin tone and will even look good on men (1 coat will give natural and neat look without compromising a manhood).

This is a perfect shade to just brighten up you natural nails. It dried quickly with two coats applied. I think this will be my fav color for everyday use. I saw similar shades on tik tok and since I know Orly is a good brand i decided to not risk buying an off brand item from an add.

Taking a break from regular polish and using this, keeps my nails healthier. I goes on beautifully and has a nice sheer Rosy tint, for a natural look.

Love the way this looks with just one coat, sheer with the slightest hint of color. Good quality and no streaks. Very mild polish scent. Im very pleased and highly recommend this product.

perhaps the only very good point about this nail polish is the colour...it is lovely soft pink...very nice French manicure colour... I didn't like a few things about it - first and foremost, that it didn't dry very well...the coat didn't have a hard finish...it was very easy to warp the finishing since it didn't dry fast enough... you needed about 3 coats...one more than I would think necessary for a good quality nail polish it was a runny consistency - and I think this is why it didn't dry quick or hard enough... better than some brands I have tried...but unless it was a to-die-for colour, I would probably not buy this brand again...

Brilliant nail polish

this is a great every day nail varnish for when you want your nails to look nice and shiny and healthy. it needs to be reapplied every week but i look forward to my weekly remover and reapplication of varnish while relaxing at the end of the week! beautiful colour, love the applicator brush, completely surprised about this considering i purchased this as an add on!
