One Great Way to Kill Small Insects
Some reason, Fort Worth TX has been inundated with small brown moths and I had to do something to kill the little bas_____! So, I was determined to purchase an old fashioned fly swatter on Amazon.com. While looking I found this Zapper.I put it in my ‘Cart’ but hesitated about actually making the purchase. But I had to do something. So I said ‘Yes’ and ordered and it arrived the next day. What can I say but this ‘Bug Zapper Racquet is great. If any insect flies around my head, I say to it to say its final prayers because if it meets the Racquet it will die instantly. It’s fairly lightweight, easy to use but pressing a button on the handle and works equally as well for right handlers as for lefties. The only bug it doesn’t kill easily is small gnats—unless the Zapper’s strings hit the gnat exactly on target. Otherwise, the gnat will simply fly right through the Zapper’s killer wires that carry the electric pulse.By the way, I will warn you to not touch the wires with the button depressed as you will get a very nasty shock. No it won’t hurt you but you will learn that it is working;.It is just fun to play with and by ‘play with’ I mean it fun chasing small flying insects as they meet their doom.

Does the Job
This fly swatter works pretty well. My only note is that it sometimes doesn’t zap depending on the angle you use. Gets the flies about 75% of the time first try.

Do not buy - Mafiti Electric AA batteries
Review for: mafiti Electric Fly Swatter, AA batteriesDo not believe all reviews, if you look closely, they reuse reviews of other electric fly swatters. This is NOT the rechargeable one.I had one of the original ones for years, this is a horrible design replacement. DO NOT BUY.First, I guess the world is to protective and there is now an outter layer of mesh on both sides to protect yourself from getting zapped from the inner layer when you accidentally touch it. Lets be honest, no one accidently touches it and gets zapped, you either do it out of curiosity, or your trick someone into touching it.. The outter mesh is where you would hit/touch/smack a bug and that layer does NOT zap. The outter layer has bigger box openings in it to get to the inner layer, so a bug might line up right and touch the inner layer.Second, now if you are lucky enough to hit the bug, on the outter layer, with enough pressure, the outter mesh touches the inner mesh and then you have a MINOR zap. Again, nothing like the original. Zap is closer to a spark and you don't feel it on your finger like the original.Third, there is oval plastic in the middle of the mesh racket making a nice design between both of the otter meshes. Those plastic oval's PREVENT the mesh's coming together and causing a zap. If you hit the bug on that section and don't hit it hard enough, nothing will happen. No zap!So, if you hit a bug just hard enough to push down the outter mesh, AND it is not where one of the inner plastic ovals are, AND you are lucky, it might zap.

That it works
This product did not work well. It is a little heavier then I thought and it does not lure the flying insects.

Fun Zapping those Buggers!
If there is nothing more annoying than a fly buzzing around you then there is nothing more satisfying that helping it meet its end with an electric zap. It’s funny how the flies disappear as soon as I pick up the implement of their destruction. A little patience and a bit of practice with your tennis swing and the Mafiti Electric Fly Swatter will put an end to their buzzing when they dare to show up.This fly swatter is easy to use and definitely grounds those pesky flies for good. You know you got a hit based on the crackling electric charge. I am certain that the flies never knew what hit them. Another benefit of buying one of these is that everyone will want to use it. Of course you may see that as a negative if you enjoy using it but it is just as much fun to watch others in the family hunt down any invading flies and put them out of your misery.

Doesn’t work
Put in the batteries and tested the electric screen with a piece of tin foil to make sure it worked… and it did. But, when trying to kill flies with it, it didn’t electrocute the flies… it just swatted them away. Apparently, the outer metal screen that provides a barrier from being shocked from the inner electric screen is too thick, so the flies don’t actually hit the electrical part and die. I actually hit a fly and it just got stuck in the screen without getting electrocuted. Fortunately, I was within the Amazon return date and just shipped it back for a refund.

Simply doesn’t work
The device doesn’t work. I bought this to replace my old one that was worn out. But compared to that, this one is terrible. There’s been times I can literally hear it hit flies and it does nothing, even with fresh batteries. Waste of money.

Not really a great buy for what it says on the box
It works, sort of, for mosquitos, less so for very small flies, and not at all for large flies. The batteries wore down quickly and the satisfying zap sound goes away too.The handle and frame feel very weak, and cleaning dead bugs out by gentle taps of the frame on your wrist is the best and quickest way to clean. But it feels flimsy. You might have a different experience, but I would not purchase any brand of this type of device again. Just use a fly swatter.
