The Half-Ton Military Land Rover Paperback – May 31, 2004

An absolute must for anyone interested in the air portable light weight & LRs in general. Lots of images of the light weight in service from the late 60's on up to the early 90's..

This is the first book which is completely filled with Land Rover Lightweight. Very nice book and very interesting. Nico to see that the Lightweight is used in several countries.

The book was bought as a gift for a landie enthusiast, the content warrants 3 stars, but I took 2 stars off for the poor printing quality. Further into the book the print on the pages is out of line and the binding is terrible. If you try to open the book fully to read the print that veres towards the centre, then the pages come away from the spine. This is a glaring oversight by the printing press and at £25 it's simply not good enough.

This book let me down merely on the basis that, although there were reams of photographs it is not a walk around showing the nuts and bolts of a Half Ton or radio set ups etc. I purchased the book solely on the recommendation of one of the reviewers in the hope that it would aid me in super detailing a model. For Rover enthusiasts a good photographic addition to their collection. For modellers needing an aid in constructing the Half Ton a resounding No.
