I Had some slight issues attaching the base to the lightsaber, pretty sure it would make more sense to use a very slightly bigger box and have it come assembled, but once up and running it looks really good, the light level is good and the lightsaber looks fairly accurate (its lucasfilm licensed).For the price i'd have liked to see some metal involved, and maybe some light effects, at least dimming!Its powered by a standard USB A connected lead (no plug included) with an on/off switch on the lead.Its a great display piece for a star wars fan, and would make a fantastic gift, I would guess that part of thee cost comes from the licensing, but I'd be happy to pay a little more for some extras!!

This Star Wars red Lightsaber desk light, comes with a USB power cable and is very easy to put together. It looks very good on the desk with the other red computer lights in my desk area. Would make a really nice gift for birthday or Christmas for any adult or teenager. Its a good size and aluminates a good area standing on the desk. The price is a little steep however it is an official Star Wars and you may expect it to be that sort of price.

Probably would have liked this product but the one I received was missing it's blade, poorly packaged and clearly second hand. I won't be purchasing anything from Menkind again!
