Yarn Holder for Crocheting with Magnetic Yarn Spinner -Beige-Standard

Edit: added a video of how the yarn mildly sticks when it's coming from under the ball. You'll need to tug it out. If it sat between the base and the top it wouldn't but I've no idea how it'd be done I adore this thing. Originally I got a yarn winder to use. It was lovely, but if you wanted a no tug release, you had to leave it loose and deal with it collapsing and knotting shortly in, and constant rewinding. I had to buy ace bandages to hold it together, which defeated the purpose. This though? A delight. I need to move it, I currently have it on a small shelf slightly above me. Need to move it down, as above it will slightly catch when at the top of the ball. I imaging below would do the same thing in the other direction. I was surprised at how well the magnet holds. It lets it spin so nicely. its really easy to set up, just guild the rod carefully through the hole of the yarn ball. I will admit, I'm not sure how this holds up once you get to the floppy end of a yarn ball. I got it in black and it looks great. Considering I mostly use 2.5oz balls of cotton yarn for amigurumi's, I imagine this can take some pretty fat rolls. Though I am unsure how much weight it can handle. It doesn't feel cheap, especially for the price point. It's a great deal honestly. The winder cost a smidge less but the need for ace bandages brought it's price over that. So way worth it imo. No flopping balls of yarn. No looking at the bad reviews on yarn bowls and feeling trepidation. Just a nice easy unwinding that keeps your yarn at a perfect length and never needs to be pulled.

This item is the best thing I’ve ever spent money on for knitting gadgets! I love it so much. It makes knitting a dream. No twisting yarn and no having to keep pulling some off to knit with. I was afraid the magnet wouldn’t be strong enough to hold my bigger yarn cake but it did. You won’t be sorry. I’m getting another one as soon as I’m able.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this winder!!! Its very smooth, connects to the base easily. Its the perfect size even for bigger cakes. Great price! Super sturdy and it look simple but cute.

I absolutley LOVE this yarn holder. It is very easy to use. putting it together was super easy. As using it it works better than expected It unwinds very smoothly. I would recommand it to anyone. You cannot waist your money on this product.

This product does a good job at allowing yarn cake to spin easily and flow well into your project. I deducted a star because the metal part at the spindle came loose after a few days of use. I had to glue it back together to make it useable again. It’s a good product. But, it’s disappointing when you have to make repairs on basically a new product.to make it work.

Some larger yarn balls don’t fit at first

This is a huge upgrade over the old ball holder I was using. I've been using one of the posts that sits on a smaller thing and (allegedly) spins when you tug the yarn, however it is always either stuck under the ball and drags the stand, or goes over the post and gets stuck on the top. I've been knitting with this for over 2 hours now after receiving it using the same ball that was just on my old holder and it has only gotten stuck once, and even then a little gentle tug freed it and it went back to working perfectly. Previously I would have to put my knitting down and use both hands to unwind the yarn from around the old holder. I haven't had any issues with the ball being too heavy to disconnect from the magnet, and I was surprised with how much hand force it took to remove. Assembly is super simple with just 2 screws and an included screwdriver, and the wood finish is a nice dark brown. I thought these magnetic holders were a gimmick but this is absolutely not, it is much better to use compared to my old ball holder and makes uninterrupted knitting a dream.

I’ve never left a review for any product I’ve ever bought. But this yarn holder deserves a review. It is everything that the description said. It works absolutely fabulous. I actually am able to crochet and knit faster because I’m not tugging on yarn all the time. Love this product. I’d buy it all over again.

I wasn’t sure if the magnet would hold up but it’s very strong and the wood looks nice. Overall makes crocheting easier + holds up well.

Works great and was exactly what I was looking for. So far the magnet is great, it holds my 150g yarn cakes with no issues, and it spins really smoothly. No more yanking yarn out every few moments while I work.

This yarn holder came well packed and is beautifully designed. For skeins of yarn I pull from the outside, whether by choice or neccessity, they are held well on the yarn holder so I can get on with making my projects. The magnet is strong enough to hold with the yarn skein on the spindle but it also allows the spindle to easily be removed and reattached as needed. Very happy with my purchase.

Finally, you can stop having issues with your yarn. Works like a charm. Should have bought it sooner. Won’t work for jumbo/extra large skeins but on the average it’s worth it.👍🏻

This product was better than expected, im amazed at the wonderful customer service i received when i needed it, the product works smoothly and is easy to assemble. It greatly helps when im working on my projects and better than a yarn bowl.
