This is a really good format Vitamin D3. D3 is one of the few fat soluble vitamins and should be taken with fat. This is a liquid base of sunflower seed oil which is great. I much prefer my vitamin D3 to come in capsule or other oil form, rather than tablet. In addition, the product description says "manufactured in Synergy Biologics' Certified GMP / HACCP and ISO Standard facilities. Every batch is externally tested and verified as safe and suitable for consumption by a third party independent UK laboratory and quantified to ensure the correct strength of active ingredients is present." Given the amount of vitamins and supplements that do not come with any quality assurance, this is also very good. Other positives. No nasties in the ingredients. It comes with a syringe for dosing. 1 ml gives you 2000iu. You can adjust according to your daily needs. I'm not sure why people whinge about using the syringe. Decide how much you want to take each day, fill the syringe to 0.50/1/1.50ml, squirt into a spoon and then you know how much of a table or teaspoon you need to take daily. No need to use syringe again! I know that I'm very deficient in Vit D in winter having been tested by the NHS and found very low. So in winter I try to take quite a high dose because I need it. In summer, I should still take it but will get some sun so can lower dose. This is quite an expensive D3 for me to buy for the 4000ml per day I take for 6 months of the year. Other than that, it's a great product. Just wish I could afford to take it all year round. Other info. Mine came with 1 year 3 months to expiry date. Overall the taste is okay, liquid form so much easier if you cannot take a tablet or capsule, or soft gel version etc. That will certainly increase the unit cost, but every person's needs are individual and this might be the ideal solution for you to get your Vitamin D supplement if you are not getting enough from your diet and the sun, especially in winter months.

The box lid was slightly open, I do think it should probably be stuck closed with some sticky tape or something. But then again in the current system of trying to help the environment it's maybe best to not use sticky tape to seal the boxes. Nevertheless, this does not cause any concern about the bottle being tampered with because it comes with a bright red seal that shows the bottle hasn't been open; when you twist it, you see the red seal detach and slide down the neck of the bottle. So as far as safety goes, I felt reassured that the bottle had not been tampered with or used by anyone else, which I think is especially important for medicinal things you buy online and have delivered. The syringe was easy to use to measure the 1ml amount to take; you just take the lid off the bottle and then push the tip of the syringe against the plastic top on the bottle, and push it in till its fully inserted, then turn the bottle upside down (don't worry it doesn't leak!) and draw the syringe to 1ml. It's a very neat and effective system. Then just squirt it onto the cheek of your mouth. 1ml is a very small amount so won't even feel like anything. But 1ml is euivalent ot 2000ui so plenty for an adult.
