Love having this for peace of mind, only 2 things i dont like, first is only 32 gig card size, can still get a lil over 6 hours of 1080 video so not too bad, and every once in a while it will erase all settings(idk if its heat related or what)..like a reset happened(the exposure gets super bright, whole screen is white and stops recording..ect..)..it doesnt delete any video just all settings go out of wack and i have to go into the settings and reset to default, otherwise the audio and video quality is good, and its easy to use..oh and the angle of the charging cord comes down instead of up(which is kinda dumb since 90% of people will install it up top of the windshield) would i buy it again..probably try a different one since this is my first..but its a good camera for the price, just a couple bugs

This works very well for the price. The instructions need to be re-written, I've contacted the mfg twice on how to operate certain functions. This will not (at least I can't get to change) record more that about 1 hour of a trip broken down into multiple 3 minute video files plus numerous mini files when someone walks past the car. The claim of seeing license plate #s on screen is only true if you replay the file on a 70" TV. You cannot zoom on the tine screen on the camera or transfer to a smart phone in the field. Night time video with a lot of oncoming headlights is not very good. The replay picture is very steady with very little bounce in it. It needs to stay connected to a power source while operating which is fine by me but you need to snake the wire all the way around the windshield to get to the power port. I have more than enough wire in my Escape & Rogue. It comes with 2 mounts, suction cup & stick tape. I've only used the suction cup. Camera stays in place but the glass must be clean. I only use this for travel to record stupid so this is perfect for me. If you need 360 degree security for your car, this is not for you.

I'd give it 5 stars if it had better instructions. Very small with good video quality. I wanted a dash cam in case I was involved in another accident like I'd had recently, so I could show it to the responding police officer. As I entered an intersection where my light had just turned green, the other driver turned left in front of me. He claimed that his light was still yellow and hadn't turned red yet. Luckily, another driver, who only stayed around because his car was struck by flying debris, sided with me that the car I struck had run a red light. If I'd had this cam, I could have proven who was at fault without a witness. I would have had to be able to play back video, on the spot, and this camera doesn't have any instructions on how to do that. After a lot of back and forth with the seller, we finally figured out that to playback video on the camera, you press okay then press the menu button for two seconds which takes you to the cameras files. You can play them by going back and forth between the okay button and menu. To exit the files, hold the menu button for two seconds again.

I like this little camera very much. It has a very clear image and the controls are easy to operate. My reason for only rating 4 is that I can't get it to stick to my windshield. There are two attachments, one with 3M sticky stuff and one with a suction cup. I read it was better to use the suction cup as the 3M was hard to remove. I tried the suction cup on my windshield, but after a couple of minutes, the camera fell off. There are no instructions for attaching so I'm working by guess and by golly, but is the suction for dash mounting and the 3M for windshield. I would love to hear from someone who has successfully attached the camera to either the windshield or dash as I'm open to either option.

I couldn't get the audio working and for a dash cam, that's important. The view was good. The image is decent, but I'm not sure that I would be able to read the number plates of any car with the video. That's important too for a dash cam. It's not easily obvious whether the camera is actually recording. When the screen is on and you can see the recording dot, you know it's recording. But it didn't always show up even when it actually was recording. The reason I bring this up is because there were drives that it never recorded at all! No idea why. Could be operator error. But I'm going to look for another dash cam. Returned.

Hi - Just connected it, seems to work well. The only issue is, the Product Manual is very poorly written and hard to follow. They list all of the function keys, but are not pointing out the location of the most important one - the MODE key, which operates your playback..it is no where to be found on Page1 product description, or on the camera itself. The instructions say to push the MODE key twice - spent an hour trying to "discover" where the mode key was, so I am very frustrated with this total waste of time.Can anyone help tell me where the MODE key is??Thanks,Terry

I have to spend more time with this, so far it won't stay on but that could be a setting. It is very compact and easy to play back.

We did not pay attention to dash cameras before we were hardly involved in accident by the other driver reckless driving. There was a situation, were it would have been impossible to prove the police and insurance that there was no our fault. If you equip your vehicle with cameras, you should consider that there should be either dual camera or two cameras which will cover front and back zones at least. In one of our cars we use expensive dual cam. (about $200) the same resolution for both, front and back. On the other car we use four cheaper ($50-$70) cameras to cover all zones around the car. This cam situated in the rear door window, . The quality of record is no worse then on the expensive one, Other function works good as well, no complaints, a little poor manual, but menu is simple and it is easy to figure out everything by playing around the buttons,
