Satisfying key feel
Really good key feel with both soft and hard key presses. Unfortunately this keyboard is loud, so keep this in mind if you’re going to use it in shared space.

I love this keyboard !!!
Ok, there are 3 things I don't like about it. First, the documentation is pretty sparse - one little folding page about the size of a playing card. I got on the internet and found a PDF that was bit better. It's not the end of the world, the main thing I wanted was the key combos to turn of that constantly rotating ring of color around the keyboard. That was the 2nd thing I didn't like....it drove me bananas !!! I also set the keys to one solid color (white was the least distracting). One note that I just barely picked out of the sparse info - you can change how bright the color is on the keys and more importantly, how quick the color returns after you press the key. This was bit of a hassle that would have been made less painful with decent documentation, but it was a one-time thing, so not the end of the world. The last thing I don't like about this keyboard is the key caps. For the keys that have shifted values, they put both values side by side, instead of putting the shifted value under the main one, like every other keyboard I have seen in my life. For example, the '1' key has a '1' and a '!' side by side, both the same size, instead of a large '1' with a somewhat smaller '!' underneath it. This should not be a problem for true touch typers. I am a touch typer, but over the years I have formed the habit of looking at the keyboard quite often while I type, and these keycaps really throw me off. I plan on getting a replacement set of keycaps at some point, but now that I have used this keyboard for over a month, it is a bit less maddening, so who knows....Ok, so with all those complaints, why did I give this keyboard 5 stars, you ask ? Simple - it has the most heavenly, perfect touch !!!! I have read a lot of back and forth from people about too loud and clacky vs too mushy.I decided to go with the Box Brown, which is supposed to be halfway between so loud it bothers people nearby and the other end which is silent with no feedback. The keys on this one are perfect...it's hard to describe in words, but they are firm and have a sound that is fairly loud but not to the point of being intrusive. I actually like this touch/feel better than the old original metal IBM keyboard that won my heart back in the early 80s.I took a huge chance buying a keyboard with testing it first. I had already ordered one from Walmart online that sucked and I had to take it back. But this one said "Free Returns", so I took a chance and I'm glad I did. Nonetheless, if there is any way that you can actually put your fingers on a keyboard before you buy it, or at least one with the same type of switches, I suggest you do so.

Very good keyboard
The keyboard is really good and fun to use. I use it in typing and it is really a pleasure to type with it, especially with the colourful environment it creates. No problems so far.

No Nonsense Value
A high quality full sized mechanical keyboard for typing and gaming, with no extras or complications.Potential Cons that are Pros to me:- No softwareLimited choice and functionality of RGB lighting, but no poorly made software to wrestle with either. The PBT pudding caps look and feel great.- No media keys or programmed hotkeysAgain, no software to worry about compatibility or functionality. No superfluous keys means a highly functional full-sized board that is smaller than the average 104 key without losing anything necessary for productivity.Great build. High quality chassis, keycaps and (hotswappable) mechanical switches. Smooth and comfortable typing and gaming experience. Very reasonable price.

The box-brown switches have a nice feel to them but if you press on them hard, they are loud!
I really like the look of this keyboard and the pudding switches make it easy to see what you are looking for when you need to. They are pretty loud switches but it allows for some accurate typing; I have a lot less miss-clicks than from they Walmart budget keyboard I used before. As far as the RGB settings go, I just use the white-ish color and have it set to solid light (non-blinking). I say white-ish because it isn't truly a white color but sort of a lilac-white. That being said it is not off-putting and I actually quite like it a lot.Cleaning this is very easy as a can of air can easily dislodge and dirt and dust from between the keys.Overall I have no regrets purchasing this keyboard and I use it for my gaming laptop.
