Triton T80gsi Electric Showers 8.5kW
1) It is connected from mains water supply and has no internal pump , If you want to install it on gravity feed you must get external pump to provide adequate water pressure from 1-10 bar.2) It is quiet almost no sound, all you can hear is electric coil buzzing and water spatter .3) Don't know why people are complaining about installation, if you putting in different type of shower different holes must be drilled, however it is easier to connect unit to water from the left .On the right side is not much room but it is possible. In conclusion it is reasonably priced, simple and does the job well . I am happy with this product .

Out of hot water !
This was bought to replace an old and failing triton 8Kw model that had given good service. It fits well into the same space as the old one and I was able to wire it in the same way, so no problem there. Plumbing it was a little bit more involved but it was nothing to write home about. Hot water is back, and Im out of hot water !.

No frills, reliable shower
Basic but good shower. Bought because fed up of MIRA overpriced rubbish which kept having issues and expensive replacements. This is going strong, no issues whatsoever, and uses standard (so cheap to replace) hose and head.

refreshed needed,yah
This is powerful shower ,we went for 8.5 watts because it is cheaper to run, better for the environment. And I like the amount power the water comes out at ,for a 8.5 watts .you need to have different electrics on a higher watt.no need for power shower.I feel lovely and clean and refreshed .ta

Inconsistent temperature and does not reset.
I bought this unit to replace our old T80 and although it was easy to install it quickly became obvious that the unit quality and operational capacity and consistency was, to put it politely, total rubbish. To expand, I'm a refrigeration engineer of over fourty years so I'm used to water, electrics, and heaters.So... After installation I tested the unit and although the water pressure was satisfactory the unit would work and provide warm (not hot) water on the first setting, then the water would go cold, for over five minutes... Then when re-starting it would eventually warm up then after a few minutes go cold again.I thought it might be the overload (a safety feature) that was over the main heater, and tested this as sometimes overloads can be "weak" and trip when you put an electrical load through them. The overload was OK.I investigated further and there are two micro switches that are controlled through the selector switch and also through the water flow valve, and here was the problem. Power was going through but not out of the micro switch which in turn will pass supply to the heater to heat up.Tried it on the "high" setting and the water came out very hot even on the minimum temperature setting, then it cut out and did not supply power to the heaters.I have tried virtually every combination, adjusting the "controls" by small adjustments, all to no avail.I know I've put a fair amount of detail in this report, and a lot of people do not possess a multimeter. Nor would I suggest for a moment that anybody should carry out the tests I have done, as 240v and fingers do not make friends, and it's dangerous to do anything like this without being trained and qualified.I am saying all this to make a point that I DO know one end of a screwdriver from the other, and that if you buy this product you may have the same problems I, and other people, have had. You, on the other hand, might be lucky but I'm returning this unit and buying a Mira unit.
