So, you start a playinf pickleball. You don't really know exactly which paddle is going to be best for you, so you do your research and decide on a lightweight paddle, beause adding weight is easy and subtracting weight is impossibleTwo months later, like me, you decide that you do need to add weight. Buy these pre-sized lead tape strips. The package has tips for where to apply the weights based on what you want to achieve (more spin, greater power, larger sweet spot, improved stability).I tested out how many and where I wanted weight by wrapping the tape strips in timy plastic sleeves and using packing tape to stick to my edge. This meant I could fiddle a bit with placement without wasting strips.Once I knew where I wanted the weights, I wiped down my paddle edge with isopropyl alcohol to remove any fingerprint oils and dirt and then applied. Working quite well. Sticking so far.Be sure that lead tape and paddle are at room temperature since some adhesives do not adhere well in the cold.

I weighed 3 of these and they are exactly 3 grams each (see picture). The photo shows application on a 16mm paddle with electrical tape applied on top (serving as an edge guard). As you can see, they are slim enough for even thinner paddles than 16mm. I always put electric tape on my edges to protect them. The extra benefit is that it also keeps the lead enclosed since lead on your skin is a health risk.

The lead tape is just a basic lead weight with a thin layer of plastic layer.The weights go on easy, plenty of adhesive.I have had them on for about 15 rounds of ball and the thin plastic layer is pealing off scratched and chipped up. Overall they work, however in a short time they will make the paddle look messy and need replaced.

Perfect weight to customize your paddle and the weights adhesive is very sticky.
