Bosch 36V Fast Charger -AL3640CV

This product does the job it's designed to do, but not for as long as one would expect. I purchased a Bosch Rotak 43LI mower, that came with one of these chargers, in 2009. This first charger lasted for about 2 years before failing, and Bosch agreed to supply a replacement free of charge. The replacement lasted for three and a half years, which is why I have now just had to purchase my third! Seems both mower and the batteries are much better built to last than the charger!

this battery works perfectly in my 43li lawnmower. My first reservation is that the original that came with the mower worked for about 1 month longer than the guarantee lasted and I'm not likely to find out if this is any better for a while! I did email Bosch to see if they had any goodwill but from their lack of reply I don't think they do! My second reservation is the price which is a bit rich.

The product was delivered on time and packaged well.The battery takes about 35 minutes to fully charge. The charger works well and the lawn mover works very well and cuts the grass on my lawn, back and front in about 40 minutes and there is still some battery life left after a single charge. My total lawn area is probably about 160 square metres which is quite a large lawn. I would reccommend this battery charger and the lawn mover which is a Bosch Rotak ergoflex 37 cord less lawn mover. There seems to be nothing to complain about with this charger; I've only used it once but it seems to do the job.My ☆☆☆ rating is because I had to buy this to replace another, supposedly, better one that died on me just out of warranty. It came with a Bosch 36volt battery chainsaw which only saw 4 hours of work before it too failed completely; it too was just out of warranty. I've been arguing with Bosch over the unfairness of this because (1) the Bosch repair shop in the UK would not take it back because I live in France, (2) the French Bosch repair shop would only take it from a retailer although I bought it in the UK (3) they won't allow any consideration of the fact that, although it's out of warranty, it is obvious that it has had hardly any wear, and (4) all in all every contact with Bosch has been difficult and I've found them to be extremely unhelpful.I have spent thousands on Bosch tools over my working life and I've mostly found them to be pretty reliable and well made but I've just completely had it with firms that are your best friend when you're buying stuff - and your worst enemy when you need help. Their after sales service is crap!

Ordered on wed afternoon arrived early Friday in perfect condition charged battery no problem only thing it's a bit more noisy than the old one and the Bosch logo is stuck on were as on my original the logo was Molded on so just hoping it's ok but you would think the battery would fail before the charger but not the case

The charger that came with the Bosch mower died at exactly 2 years. A friend who understands electronics, said it can't be repaired. This is expensive if it doesn't last long. You have no option but to replace as the mower and batteries were expensive. Not good for environment to have to regularly replace this kind of thing. Manufacturers need to get their act together.

Delivered quickly and works well. I was a bit surprised it was not in Bosch packaging, no waranty etc so I cannot say if it is a genuine brand new Bosch part, hence the 3 star review.

This replaced the original Bosch charge supplied with the lawnmower, and did not last very long and could not be repaired.I hope this one is an improvement as it was very expensive for a battery charger, but without it makes the lawnmower uselessI would not by another Bosch Lawnmower because of the replacement cost of these parts
