Primal Freeze Dried Raw Dog Food Nuggets, Lamb, Complete & Balanced Meal, Als...

I've been using this variety, as well as the Turkey & Sardine nuggets, as toppers for kibble for the past 5 or 6 years and my fussy little guy loves it! Getting increasingly pricey, but what isn't? Shipping is always super fast and love that it's natural.

Best food for your dog! This food (the Primal line) has had an amazing effect on our dog. She is much healthier (no more vomiting, her hair is even softer -- believe it or not) and best of all -- she loves this food. It's been two years now and she still literally runs to her bowl to eat it. We feel good knowing this is all human grade meat and produce that goes into this and that the animals used are all humanely treated. We feed her the Lamb and Beef (we think she might have an allergy to poultry) but we have also tried the Turkey and Salmon and Chicken -- and she loves them all. The only one she didn't particularly like was the Duck. But we don't know why that is. Might just be she doesn't like duck. Also, we have referred this product (the cat food) to a fellow family member whose cat was vomiting and had digesting problems for literally years. Since the cat has been eating Primal, it's like a whole new cat -- in the first week, the vomiting and diarrhea went from several times a day to twice a week. And that was just the first week! We haven't checked back yet to see if Primal cured the problem absolutely. But if your dog or cat is having digestion issues -- you definitely will want to give Primal a try.

Okay, I have a spoiled dog, you know the ones that that look like belong in a dog show and go to daycare and won’t eat, unless it’s human food or wet food. Yeah, that’s my Golden Doodle. The problem is; he has a sensitive stomach, so, he can’t eat everything he wants. I actually boil rice, like one bag and put like half the bag of nuggets in a lemon squeezer and mash the nuggets and then dump the rice over them and then add a little water and make enough food for like 3 days~ mixing it with 1 cup of dry food, so he will eat it. He likes the lamb the best, also the duck. He turned his nose up to the vension, like he was appalled, but I was boiling chicken and beef before this and it’s way easier and cheaper. If you spoil your dog and want a topper for dry food or to mix with rice or just use alone, this is great. No upset stomach and he eats!!

Met someone walking his dog in my neighborhood. Asked how old the dog is -- he said 16. I asked what he fed the dog, he said primal food. Not sure whether he used this or the raw stuff, but it's not really safe to use raw meat all the time in your kitchen. This works just as well, our dog loves it (used to be a finicky eater, but no more), and his coat is healthier and his activity level higher. He is about 24 pounds, and we found the feeding guide on the package overstates the quantity needed. They say 5 pieces twice a day, but he was gaining weight when we tried that. We have found 3 pieces twice a day to be about right. YMMV but I suggest you not take the package info as gospel. The dog loves all the flavors of these. I crumble them into his bowl and add a little water. This is a little expensive, but it's healthier for him and if it adds years to his life, it's worth it to me! Not sure why the 2-pack is more than twice as expensive as one bag, though.

I donno what is going on with this company I am so disappointed as my dog loves this food she is very picky.. she has had no issues then recently they had a sale on it but only had one of the flavors she likes.. we got it and I got a second bag of something else.. she would not eat it at all.. I had to take it back to the store.. the lady then said we have this new one u can try .. and this is the new formula from this company .. these are as hard as a rock .. and my dog isn't eating.. why would u change it.. what the heck happened.. I mean we are already paying over 30 plus a bag.. what and why would u change this.. so disappointed.. my dogs loves chicken and she would not even touch the chicken one.. she didn't eat for like 2 days because I thought maybe if I leave it she will eat it.. nope.. I donno what u did .. but based on the reviews showing up I am not the only one disappointed and looking for a new dog food.. I used to rave about ur food.. and tell everyone.. now I am searching for a new source ..

Perhaps it's my fault that I didn't realize the individual pieces of this Food is HUGE and I mean HUGE, like for a HORSE sized Dog. I purchased them for my little 6# Pomeranian. I have to cut each HUGE CUBE into about 12 smaller pieces, she loves it but it has given her some very bad diarrhea so I only let her have about 4 little pieces a day. She is SOOooo super picky on her food and the Raw Dehydrated Food has worked well for her in the past but these are not agreeing with her tummy so I'm going to try and gradually let her have a couple a day and see if her tummy will accept it. SHE SURE DOES LOVE IT THOUGH!!!

I use these nuggets to supplement my dog's dry food, so that she has a little added moisture, and an overall better diet. I'm very picky about what I feed my kids (and my pets are kids as well), so she already eats high quality, no filler food and treats. If you've never heard of Earthborn or Fromm, both are excellent brands...especially when you need foods with no chicken, potato, or gluten. These primal nuggets fit right in with this diet. She knows what she's getting when I pull one out and she is very happy to see it in her food. I soak one in hot water for about thirty seconds, and then break it up into four chunks, before spilling them and the remaining water into her bowl (there are always bits floating in the water and I don't want to waste). You can just toss them in dry, but they are dehydrated, and most dogs don't drink enough water already. The one time I did give it to her dry, she had a hard time going to the bathroom, because they suck up moisture. When I give her one of these, rehydrated, every two or three days, and her regular food and treats, she has no potty problems, and the groomers comment on the health of her hair, skin and glands every time.
